Dishwasher fills with water and motor runs, but no water is being pumped during the wash cycle. The water doesn't pump out/drain our of the dishwasher during drain cycle.
Question: Is the problem solely the pump, or are other parts involved in the problem? Is this a problem that I could fix (i.e. if the pump is broken, could a novice easily disassemble and reassemble all the parts)? And, if not, how much would it most likely cost? Finally, given the age of the machine, would it be more cost effective to buy a new dishwasher?
Thanks for the help.

I bought this kenmore new about 6 years ago but have only used it about 6 times. Recently when I used it it leaked from the bottom of the door, right in the middle and also a slow drip in left hand corner. I felt along the bottom of the gasket and felt a 4 inch piece of gasket material situated right where the water was leaking from. I looked at the parts list that came with machine which matches the model number of the dishwasher but the part isn't listed. Called sears parts and they haven't got a clue. Bottom line, how do i fix this leak??
