Question about First Alert Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector
It is chirping slowly and batteries are good. what to do
Posted by Anonymous on
First, did you write the date on the side? If it's older than seven years, it needs to be thrown out and replaced with a new one, because the chemical that detects CO has been exhausted. If the light that's blinking only occasionally is red, that would be another indication it needs to be thrown out. If the light were yellow a battery change should have fixed the issue. If it did not, give the brandname holder a phone call.
