By looking at it it looks pretty old, I would say either that could e a protection mode signal or it could just be use and abuse and I might need to get a new one. Check your connections for pinched or touching wires and make sure you are not drawing to much current from where you have it plugged in at

Thanks for your advice. I have tried turning the amplifier on with input and output wires connected and disconnected and I get the same result. I have replaced all the capacitors and I still get the same result. Could you give me another possible idea of what could be causing the issue? Thanks Again

Hello Danny, did you ever find out the fault on your crown amp. Ihave one doing exactly the same thing. Disconnecting the output connections on the pcb allows the amp to power up normally indicating a DC ofset issue. I have measured this and found that one channel of the amp is producing an ofset voltage of about 1.5volts. However once the amp has been running for a few minutes this voltage drops to about 40mV, which is about the same as the healthy channel is reading at it's output terminals.

My crown xs1200 won't turn on at all no lights showing at all when Turned on

If you are not seeing any indicators, you may have a fuse open, power transformer, bridge diode, etc, etc.

When you first plug it in, do you hear any clicks coming from the unit itself?

If you need more information, or would like to inquire about having your Crown repaired, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. BTW, I worked for Harman Kardon. Crown is one of their products.

How do I set the time?

Hi Charles,

I presume you're referring to a chronometer watch?

You need to twist the crown (little screw on the right side of the piece) counter clockwise until it slightly pops out. This is position 1. You need to pull the crown outward gently until you feel a lug sensation. This is position 2. Turn the crown to adjust the 'date' until you reach yesterday's date (one date before what you actually want). Then pull the crown outward again feeling that lug sensation. This is position 3. Turn the crown so the minute-hand swings in the normal movement of time (don't swing it backwards). Keep doing this until the 'date' turns to the current date. Now your piece is set on the correct date and the minute-hand is in the "a.m." Now keep turning the crown until you've reach the current time (noting the am/pm period you want). Push the crown inward to Position 2, then to Position 1. Turn the crown while in Position 1 to wind the spring. How many times depends on your brand, mine is 35-40 turns. Once I am done, push in the crown and turn simultaneously to lock it down. It will stop when it is seated properly.

Good luck.

This is what I did on my 99 Grand Marquis. Maybe it will work for you.

1. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 3 seconds, with the 4th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode.

2. Within 20 seconds, press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.

3. Within 20 seconds press any button on second keyless remote. Door locks will cylcle to confirm programming.

4. Turn ignition to OFF.

How do I set a Danbury pocket watch with date display

If it is this pocket watch, then the crown (the bit you turn to wind the watch) has 3 positions. Position 1 is when the crown is pushed in all the way. Position 3 is when the crown is pulled out as far as it will go. In between position 1 and position 3 is a place where the crown will stop, this is position 2.
To set the day of the week, pull the crown out to position 3 to set the time. When you set the time, the bottom dial with also turn to set the hour on the 24 hour clock, if you turn the crown enough to cycle through a whole day the day of the week dial will also turn. Keep turning the crown until the time is set on the proper day of the week.
To set the date, pull the crown out to position 2, and turn it clockwise until the hand on the date dial points to the correct date.
Hope this helps!

Have a Crown amp xs 1200 that is in fault mode and wont reset what can i do to fix this

You may have two speaker wires touching eachother (shorted) or one of your speakers may have a fault and not giving enough resistance to the amp (shorted).
Last option is that one power output transistor is damaged and appears to be a short circuit to the circuit protection system.

I have two Crown XS 1200 and the fault light keeps blinking no fans turn on and ive tried turning them on and off unpluging removing everything off them crown website says its in protected mode is there...

Hello,

A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your Amplifier and look at the power supply on the middle section of the amplifier

You will see bid round capacitor that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same capacitor rating but a higher voltage.
Hope this help in solving the problem....

I have a Tissot Automatic PR 516 from the early 70s. Time is kept well. Date moves forward correctly but it is the wrong date. I am unable to turn back the date. I am able to turn back the day. Any...

The crown wheel (winder) should have 3 positions, (1) the normal winding position (3) fully out; at this position the watch stops and the time can be adjusted.

(2) This position is between the 1 & 2 and is used to adjust the day and date. If you wish to change the date by winding the crown backwards or forwards.

Since watches can very a little, if turning the crown when in position 2 the date does not change, pull the crown to position 3 and turn the hands until you pass the midnight position, when the date will change and then re-set the time. If you wish to advance the time more than one day, when it changes, wind the crown backwards past the midnight position and then wind it forwards again. Repeat until the correct date is showing and then re-set the time. The exact distance you need to turn the crown to change the date will have to be found by experimenting!

Unable to set time

The time on this watch is set by changing the digital display time then transferring the digital time to the hands.
1 - Turn the crown until the mode hand points to the time mode [TME].
2 - Press either button (A) or (B) to select the city for which the time is to be set.
3 - Pull the crown out to the second click (3) to enter time setting mode.
4 - Pressing button (A) will change the digits to be set. These digits are the ones that are blinking. Press button (A) to select the digits that you want to change.
When button (B) is pressed in the [SMT] daylight savings time correction mode, DST can be turned ON or OFF.
When button (B) is pressed with the seconds digits blinking, the seconds will return to "00".
5 - Turn the crown clockwise to advance the hours or minutes when those digits are blinking.
Although the crown may be turned in either direction, you should always turn it clockwise to the final setting.
6 - When the 12H/24H selection is blinking, pressing button (B) will turn it On/Off.
7 - After correcting the time on the digital displays, push the crown in to normal position (1) to complete time setting.
i think this may solve ur problem

thank u.................
