On my Coleman Black Max compressor, the motor runs slow if there is 40 psi's in the tan. If I bleed the air off the motor will start to run and some times it will pressure up to 100 psi

ok, I had the capacitors checked, first which one would I replace?Second the tank will not refill after pressure drops down to about 40 PSI. If I bleed off air back to zero, It will start back up. Thanks.

SOURCE: Trips motor circuit breaker at start up (zero air

Most likely the start capacitor is defective or the motor has internal problems. would advise having it checked at a motor repair shop.

Why do the pump and cleaner breakers keep tripping?

Are they all on the same breaker, if so they might be pulling to much from one breaker alone, if theres more than one breaker and theyre both tripping try running one thing at a time pump/ozonator/booster and it doesnt trip try two at a time and try to see what one the problem is with.

The pump shorts out when heater is put on

Electric spa control?
what do you mean pump shorts out? Are you saying a breaker trips or a GFCI trips?
if so, it has nothing to do with the pump, if it's already running. But once the heater engages and the breaker trips, then you have about heater element.

Dishwasher trips out after running for a while

When you say "trips out" do you mean the circuit breaker trips? If so the breaker in the electrical box may be bad. Also do you have anything on that circuit pulling high amps when the dishwasher is running? Also when does it "trip out" during a pump cycle or when the heating element cycle starts?
If the pump does not work at all then the pump may have went out. If it happens when the heating element cycle starts then it may be the circuit is overloading or the breaker is bad.

Tripping circuit breaker

Hi Kathy
Sometimes when a breaker keeps tripping, it will wear and will be in need of replacement...try replacing the breaker and see if that solves your problem.
If not then check the amps on the pump and make sure the breaker is able to hand the amperage the pump is requiring.

I have a Polaris PB4-60 booster pump, less than 3yrs old. I turned the pump and left. When I got back 1hr later, the pump was not running. Breakers had been tripped. Each time we reset the breakers and...

If the device that tripped is a ground fault circuit interupter (GFCI) breaker or receptacle then it is likely caused by 5mA or more of leakage current to ground within the motor. If what tripped is a circuit breaker then there are likely shorted turns within the motor. Usually either of this issues requires a new motor.

If you are not wanting to turn wrenches yourselfthen my best suggestion is to bring it to Leslies Pool Supplies and they oftencan put it right for the price of the parts while you watch (they might not have some parts in stock).

I hope this helps.

Breaker trips on condenser unit on heat pump after several hours of operation

Hi, check amps on unit, and make sure breaker matches, check unit voltage tag, it will tell you what size breaker you need, or may be breaker is loosing resistance, replace breaker, if problem continues, a/c maybe over working because of high temp, temp. affect amperages, and that would be normal, if it trips after few hrs. also check a/c for lack of freon, sometimes, they need a tap up of refrigerant, not enough freon and they would run longer, get hotter and eventual trips. breaker doing his job. good luck

If the seals are damaged, water will leak into motor section and cause GFI to trip and yet the pump will seem that it is running fine if plugged into a non-GFI receptacle
