What is a 56k Modem doing in that list? You using dial-up?

Need guidance in downloading AND installing the Chipset,
(Motherboard Chipset) drivers?

I need the Product Number of the HP or Compaq computer.
This can be found on the back of the computer, in the white Service Tag. P/N = Product Number

Also need to know what Operating System you are using.

Can you see the sata drive in the bios? Also, are you tring to boot from the sata drive, or is it an additional drive for data storage. If the sata drive is brand new, then you probably need to partition it and format it.

Boot into windows (from the ide drive) with the sata drive connected (data and power cables). Once in windows, right-click computer (my computer in xp) from the start menu, and left-click 'manage'.
Now, click on 'disk management'. If the drive is new, you will see it in this window, and you can partition it and format it.

hi! are you having problem with sata booting system?pls try this solution,
first turn on your computer,and press del when the setup system appear try to look for advance settings or ferephiral setting and look for the sata setup,turn disable setup to enable or on.and press f10 to save setting,
hope this will turn your sata boot to normal mode,,,:)

Your mainboard support both "IDE & SATA" interface, so you can use IDE or SATA Hard Drives.

Then choose SA-IDE88 and the driver download will start.

Start the system & enter you're bios & use you're manual to help guide you on this. Go to the Boot section of the bios. You can set the boot order. Normal boot order is like this:
1st boot device, floppy disk (if one is connected).
2nd boot device, cdrom drive
3rd boot device, hard drive
(Drive the has windows installed on it).
Save & exit the bios. The system will restart & windows should load. If it does not, than you picked the wrong hard drive.

It needs to have a cd or dvd drive in it, then you can add a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Then all you need is another copy of Windows XP to install on it.
