Problem for Canon PowerShot A700 Digital Camera
Flash does not fire.

I bought a used camera, and I am trying to take a picture with a flash. I know how to turn the flash to a proper setting. In a dark setting, the orange light will turn on, but the flash symbol blinks in the display when I try to take the picture. When the flash setting is off, the camera will take a picture. It has nothing to do with batteries because the batteries are new. What could be the problem? I know I have the setting right.
