A couple of cheap fixes. Worth a try. If it boots, go to disc utility in the utilities folder and restore disc permissions. Then run repair disc. If that fails, buy a copy of Disc Warrior and start from that disc.

I have a sony bravia 52" KDL52W4500 problem it has brokedown, goes on for a second then switches itself off again, red standby flashes 6 times

Hi,
6 times red standby light flashing is an error code that shows problem of "Panel Det Error" It is technical term and experienced tech will understand it.
Possible cause of problem is either Power (G5) Board, Inverter (D5) board and/or LCD Panel (screen) itself.
Unplug tv from wall socket for couple of minutes to get it reset, replug back in and turn it On, if problem still not solved then it is not user level repair and you need Sony qualified technician to take care of it.
Thanks.

Kirby blowing out aire

Unplug the vacuum and clean out the hose that goes from the beater to the intake. The hose is either plugged with debis or has become disconnected or BOTH. You may have to use a screw driver to remove the plate over the beater brush.
