Question about Cambridge Audio 640R 7.1 Channels Receiver
I have a 6 year old 640R and I have been having issues with the sound dropping out. In the beginning I blamed my kids for playing with the controls, but I have now experienced it first hand. In the past if I played around with various selections of the controller sound would come back but now it just is not there. I have also noticed that the OSD started to have a few lines through it which steadily got worse to make it unreadable and now there is no display at all (For the OSD - video from inputs is coming through). Took it in for repair and was quoted $850 for a new board. No support from the local agents in Australia. Has anyone else experience this and maybe has a solution? I can't believe that 6 years is an acceptable life for an amp.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

All kids are
different and even when guidelines for 'normal development' are given, it
doesn't mean you should panic if your child isn't meeting those milestones. If
your child can generally play with other kids, even if it's more side by side
playing than teamwork, then I wouldn't worry too much.
If you are concerned, you can always consult your doctor for reassurance
