Clean it. You have to open the TV to do this. Check the site linked below. It has disassemble procedure to many brand TVs, with illustrations.

My unit does not go on. I press the on button and hear it then 10 sec pass hear it but it doesn't light and red light doesn't go on and then it shuts off

tep 1: Check the thermostat
  • Make sure that your thermostat is set to "cool" and not "heat" (if it's set to heat, your AC won't turn on no matter what).
  • urn the temperature setting 5 degrees below the current temperature to see if your AC will turn on.
  • No good? Then you need to...
tep 2: Check the air filter
  1. Find your return vent's filter (the return vent is where air gets sucked into the air conditioner).
  2. Check to see if the filter is dirty (if you can barely see light coming through it, it's too dirty).
  3. Change the filter if it's dirty.
"Wait, why am I doing this?"
A dirty air filter blocks air from returning to the AC, reducing airflow over the evaporator coil, causing it to ice up.
This causes a low-pressure switch to trip and shut down your AC's compressor (the heart of your air conditioner) to prevent it from being damaged.
So you need to change the air filter to prevent all that.

Car air filter replacement

A dirty air filter in your car reduces air flow into the engine, resulting in less power and often lower gas milage. The typical filter is made out of pleaded paper. It may have an outer band of plastic foam or fiber ( in some air filters ) that traps large particles. Inspect the filter every 6 months or every 12,000 mile in normal conditions, these numbers ( period of air filter inspection ) reduces depending on how dusty and polluted your area is. In most cars the filter housing is connected to the air intake by a duct. Unclip and remove the cover, then take out the filter. Examine the filter by tapping it against a wooden surface ( or similar ) to dislodge the loose dirt. If you see a oil film on the oil filter, have a mechanic check the engine. If the filter is dirty all around, replace it. Some air filter housings have a small filter for the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system. change this filter if its dirty.
Hope this tip helps and please rate it if you found it helpful, thanks.

I have a 2000 dodge caravan. My air filter isn't dirty at all. Its looks new but its not. So is that a problem? Is there something wrong if its not dirty? Would that be an air flow problem?

There may be a leak somewhere after the air filter box letting in unfiltered air. or maybe it just isnt dirty. how long has it been since it was replaced?

I turn the key almost all the way down to start; the stater will not stop

You have problem with your fuel system. Lots of problems to trace. Like your fuel pump defective, filter dirty. air filter dirty. Lose compression if your car and truck is old. If your using gasoline contact point, spark plug, no high voltage, timing fuel filter dirty, and carburetor need to be clean. In diesel, fuel supply, glow plug, pump need to calibrate or replace, dirty pipes, dirty filter, air in the diesel and timing

Filter dirty and blowing warm air

If your filter is dirty, the fan inside the house cannot push the cold air thru the evaporator, cool air cannot circulate, this will cause the compressor outside to over heat and even damage it and possible trip some fuses or circuit breakers, with these hotter days you want to change out your filters more often, changing out your filters more often will keep the evaporator cleaner and allow the cool air to flow, easier.good luck!

Air conditioner is freezing up

Three most common things that cause an a/c to freeze up.

  1. Plugged/dirty filters
  2. Blower motor not running
  3. or there is a leak in you refrigerant system and you are now low on charge

The air conditioner is blowing very cold air

there are a couple of possibilities here. 1) lack of air flow, due to dirty filter, dirty fan blades/vanes, dirty coil, slow blower motor. 2) lack of refrigerant due to leak or starving metering device. The first one you can deal with: statrt by checking the filter; clean it if dirty. Is the air coming out slower than usual? If so the coil, (the piece that gets cold) fan is dirty; clean them. If it is low refrigerant you will need a professional to repair it or buy a new one. Hope this helps

This sounds like a filter problem or a dirty evaporator. Open the fron panel and see if the pre filter, filter, and or evaporator are dirty.
