Connection Type : USB or TCP/IP

(resident CUPS / PPD driver - provided by Apple)
(no official EPSON driver)

>USB direct connection - check System Profiler-> under USB connection
>Got to Print & Fax and add the printer using the above driver

>TCP/IP connection - LAN set-up for printer configuration
>download EPSONNet Config Utility from http://support.epson.com
>run app and it will locate the printer regardless of IP address
>config to taste - default user/pass (it's blank, just hit OK button)

*the EPSONNet Config Utility is also available for Windows
(it's a neat utility)

I forgot a password and i cant access a catalyst 2960 24-port 10/10

You can only reset password this way:
1.
Attach a terminal or PC with terminal emulation (for example, Hyper Terminal) to the console port of the switch.
Use the following terminal settings:
  • Bits per second (baud): 9600
  • Data bits: 8
  • Parity: None
  • Stop bits: 1
  • Flow Control: Xon/Xoff
2.Unplug the power cable.
3. Hold down the mode button located on the left side of the front panel, while you reconnect the power cable to the switch
4. Release the Mode button when the SYST LED blinks amber and then turns solid green. When you release the Mode button, the SYST LED blinks green.
5. switch: flash_init
6. switch: load_helper
7. switch: dir flash:
8. switch: rename flash:config.text flash:config.old
Rename config.text to config.old. In that file the password is stored.
9. switch: boot
10. Enter "n" at the prompt to abort the initial configuration dialog
11. Type en to enable
12. Switch#rename flash:config.old flash:config.text
13. Switch#copy flash:config.text system:running-config
14. Overwrite the current passwords:
conf term
enable secret <new pass>
enable password <new pass>
line vty 0 15
password <new pass>
login
line con 0
password <new pass>

15. write memory
16. copy run start

Change user name

Hello,

Please indicate the Model of the router you are referring to.

If its Cisco, first do a no username xxx password nnn command on the existing configuration. Then on the global configuration mode insert a new command with the new username and password. See example below:

#configure terminal
(config)# no username old-username password old-password
(config)# username new-username privilege 15 password new-password
(config)# exit
# wr memory

I cannot install my Epson workforce 600 and get it to accept the IP address for my cisco linksys E1000 router.

I actually own a workforce 600 printer... they are nice for photos... anyway, the following solution only applies if your router is configured as a DHCP Server... This is the default setting, so if you don't know, then it is probably is configured as a DHCP Server. So, First, plug your printer directly into the router (wired connection) Then, load all drivers and software onto your computer. There will be one program in particular that you want to use. It is called "EpsonNet Config". Open that program (it is located in start---> all Programs--->EpsonNet---> EpsonNet Config Vx ) If your printer does not show up, you must verify your network settings on the printer (First make sure your wireless is disabled in Setup ----> Network settings --->Wireless LAN setup ----> Disable.... Then, Setup ----> Network settings ---> general network setup ------> "Yes" ---> press"ok"----> "Auto" ---->press"ok"---->"yes") Now, go back to EpsonNet Config on your computer and click refresh (upper left hand corner). When your printer shows up, double click on it. In the left pane click on network---> basic (wireless). In the right pane, click enable wireless LAN, then type in your SSID (routers name). DO NOT CLICK TRANSMIT YET. Then, in the left pane, click "network ----> security". In the right pane, put in the appropriate security level and key for your router. This information you would have configured when you setup your router. Now... click transmit then "ok". Wait for the settings to transmit 100%. now you can remove the network cable... verify that EpsonNet Config still can see the printer. and you are good to go. I hope this helps.

Printing problem

First, try to do a test print on the printer. This helps to determine the status of the printer and narrow down the problem. If it does print then change the network cable and/or the port where it is attached to the wireless router. Good luck
