The camera had been working fine (I bought it 2 years ago, but the other day the screen got white, well, not white but like if the screen had got the brightness to the maximum level, which I haven't done. As a matter of fact, in order to read the menu I increased the brightness to the maximum. I have taken the batteries and the memory card for a while, I have formated the camera, but still the same. ¿Is any way to fix it or do I have to take it to get repaired? Thanks
I have a E510 for 3 yrs, suddenly I can view images, Etc but the screen goes blank, the lens extends but no image appears and the camera 'locks up.' I have to remove the batteries to switch it of.
Replacing batteries i can switch on with the same problem.
In the most cases like your description, is because of sand in mechanical parts.
The sand make to stuck the mechanical parts of zoom.
You have to take out the zoom , pull out the motor drive and open the zoom to clean with a toot brash and a spry with hi pressured air
Next time when you take pictures on the beach, try to cover the camera when you not used.
Usually I charge 15 to 20 USD to clean a zoom part but the shipping cost are to expensive and most cases is not worth.
If you live in europe , maybe shipping cost to Romania will cheeper. Check your postal charges and if you think is worth to send the camera, contact me to [email protected]
Hello i have a FUJIFILM FinePix A510 camera and when i turn it on the lens starts to come out and goes straight back in.... and says zoom error on the screen how can i fix this???
So if you adjust the brightness up or down it stays the same- is that right? Looks like a component failiure, if nothing happens. You will have to check out Fuji for repair costs -can be pretty heavy
