I've actually heard of a way to connect your psp to your computer when its bricked(because the power still goes on)and open your psp folder and reinstall the old firmware in it.im doing it right now and it IS working.

Your firmware flash was incomplete leaving no firmware in place, unfortunately you have bricked your psp. However there is a solution, there is a chip called the Undiluted Platnum for the psp now that will allow you to reflash the firmware. As a bonus you will be able to load any firmware, update and run backup UMD's and any emulator! http://everything4psp.com/PSP_ACCESSORIES.html has it. 1st item listed. It's a bit pricey but they do provide the installation for you. Good Luck.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
