Husqvarna 266xp Hi, have Husqvarna 266xp chainsaw which I have inherited and its a bitch to start. The pull cord is really difficult to pull. I removed the spark plug and it pulls over easily so I assumed that the exhaust was blocked. After removing the exhaust and re-inserting the spark-plug I'm back to square one.
The piston seems undamaged and the fact that it runs freely without the spark-plug indicates that the piston is fine.
Should I now be checking the air-intake from the carb but removing the carb ?
