Question about Televison & Video
No color is not the problem with its bulb. It must be a problem to its chroma processor section circuit. If you have knowledge in electronics, you can do the repair by yourself. If you are not familiar with electronics, do not attempt to repair. Whether you suffer fatal electric shock. Instead, contact any experienced service technician, or the nearest service center. SOURCE: black and white picture only
The color wheel is not the problem. If the spinning color wheel is impaired in its RPMs it will cause picture distortion, not black and white picture. If the color wheel looses any of its color fins, like if it is broken, there will be a loud vibrating noise inside the tv which you did not mention. Also if the color wheel is broken and doesn't spin, the tv will not start up.
The likely problem is on the digital control board or the power supply and should be referred to a local repair shop for repair.
There is an outside chance that you will receive color if you experiment with using all of the different input ports to see if you can find one that will bring back color.

It sound to me like your tuner is going out. I would suggest that you contact a local service center to get the tuner replaced or just put up with it as long as you can.
I hope this helps.
