    its my son thats got the prob im one for always had everything going rong from dragon basic to 301 all the way to now and ive had some sleepless nights and now i aways back it up and do more than i should and im glad ive had that history and head acks with comps and iwould not have changed it one bit but my son thinks he nows it all and thinks he knows all and now when i tell him how to put the file back and now hes gone and tryed to put another opp xp from another comp of his friends and hes wiped it all and the disk will not work i thought mite give him a kick up the .well ? no its not reading dvds so the ones that i got will not do and it had me before xp i did not put it in i preferd me its only got 5.3gig and its only got 128 ram whitch i feel is bad combernation with my son as the new boss for that day cant tell him its fun to its

    You may have to remove the HDD, format, reinstall the HDD and put the original OS. If the Computer hardware specs don't support the OS, it will be nothing but "pain and heartache", as you are surely aware. Perhaps it's time to "let her go", or you keep as a reminder of your kids hubris. We have all been there.

could look into the bios by pressing f12 or f2 or whatever for your model. Once inside the bios you can have the machine boot via hard drive at also check the hardware functions.

it is the problem of foulty RAM, blue screen comes when the RAM was not working correctely it comes most time when you insalling xp

Myself danish......I am getting a problem while installing XP in my Compaq CQ40 a problem arise.................after booting a blue screen comes.....Ho shall I install XP...if changing by bios...

what is on the blue screen, when Windows XP installs, it does so with a screen that is blue in color, Are you updating, or fresh install???

If fresh install, deltel the partition, and reformat it (not Quick format) and try again.

when your system shows blue screen while loading xp or after loading xp, it means your hard disk is faulty or your memory is not compatible with the systems.(hard disk 85% while memory is 15%)

W200 cause a blue screen

First of all: If you install SP2 you don't have to install SP1 over it. It already did. Secondly, don't install SP3, it destroys Windows XP.
Try reinsalling the PC with SP2, install the drivers and do nothing else, see if that helps.

your operating system disk has a scratch or dirty, messed up data and has not installed the file
