Hello Thomas - I understand that your washer continues to beep and will not operate. Try resetting the unit by either unplugging or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately two minutes and turn on the washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if the washer will start. If the washer will not operate then it possibly have a communication error with the main control board, a potential wiring failure, or fauly door lock assembly. I would suggest contacting an experienced service technician to determine the precise cause. Thank you for allowing me to assist you!

How do you turn down or off control panel sounds

wow I wish I had a dollar for every time I get asked about this . there is no volume for the beeper or chimes that go off to signal some function is complete or not , what I've been doing to satisfy folks that have asked is to open up control panel an locate the sound emitter using several layers of tape I tape over it and it muffles the sound down a lot , id suggest letting a pro do this as it can be hard to access the control board

When buttons are pushed, no beeping. even when timer is set to go off, no signal that the time has expired

If all other functions are working and you just lost the beep sound then you have to make this choice. The beeper is actually mounted on the main control board. If it has gone bad--the only way to fix it is to replace the complete main control board which is an expensive part. One thing to check in your owners manual is if your control has a way to change the sound level of the beeper. If yes--it may have accidentally got shut off if it has that type settings.

My toaster oven started beeping and showed a flashing error message. Anyone have any clue what may be wrong?

I suspect that the Logic Control Board is shot. If the unit is 1 year old or less try:

In the U.S.A., warranty is offered by Sunbeam Products, Inc., located in Boca Raton,Florida 33431. 1.800.334.0759
In Canada, this warranty is offered by Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited, located at 5975 Falbourne Street, Mississauga, Ontario L5R 3V8

To refresh, the beeper should sound once. The definition of the Beeper from the manual follows:
BEEPERFUNCTION
(1) When you plug the unit in, the beeper sounds once and " - - - "appears in the LCD.
(2) When you press one of the four menu buttons the beeper will sound one time.
(3) When you press the adjustable button, every time you press the button, the beeper
will sound once. If you press the button continually, the beeper only sounds one time.
(4) When you press the start button the beeper will sound once, and ":" will flash, that means
the unit is in operation. Once the unit has begun the cooking cycle, the menu selection,
time or temperature cannot be changed. The unit must be stopped and reset.
(5) When the unit is in operation, press the stop button, the beeper will sound once and the unit
will stop operation.
(6) At the end of pre-set time, the unit will sound a long beep to remind you the work is done.

How do i permanently stop the beeper on my pride mobility Go Go Sport 4-wheel scooter?

That cannot be done because it is a safety feature of the scooter. If you're saying that it beeps continuously because of the flat battery, that indicates the battery may not hold its full charge and need replacement. if you remove the beeper you will not be notified when it's time to charge the battery. When the battery is charged, does it discharge faster than when the scooter was new? If so, then you need a new battery. Replace it and see if the beeper stops. If the existing battery is fully charged, does the beeper stop? If so, all is well, it's the battery issue. If it doesn't stop beeping, you have to take the scooter to an authorized agent to rectify the problem. I believe the battery is reaching end of its life.

Backup Beeper

Hi. A lot of scooters use the same beeper for reversing and for the horn. The quickest way to disable the horn is to unplug the speaker or beeper from the circuit board in the top of the tiller where the controls are. If you ever need to make it work again in the future, its a simple matter to reconnect it. If you still need to use a horn, buy a cheapie one from the bicycle store.
Good luck. Neil.

Spacemaker xl (1999)low volume beep

According to the owner's manual (available here), there is a beeper volume on some models in this series. If yours has one, press it and then press 0 to 3 to control the volume (0 mutes the beeper and 3 is loudest).

If your model doesn't have the beeper volume control it's just that the beeper is going bad. They sometimes do that, getting faint or quitting entirely. You can't get a replacement beeper from GE, only the entire control circuit board.

The beeper is a piezoelectric type. Radio Shack sells a variety of beepers. If you know someone who can replace electronic components, they may have one that could be used on the board. Changing the beeper for one not the same as the original would not affect the oven's operation or safety, so that's an option. I'd do that myself if I were repairing this for a friend. But you might not be able to get a professional service shop to do this because of liability concerns. They would most likely replace the entire board.

With luck, your oven just has the volume down. Hope this has helped, and thanks for using Fixya!

Timer beeper failure on Whirlpool Gold oven/range oven

Most of the beepers I am familiar with are built into the main control clock board assembly. The only way to repair this is to replace the whole main control board, not a cheap part.

I want to stop the end bip reminder signal on my microwave.

Does the owner's manual show that as an option?

If no, you'll have to remove the beeper or cut a circuit board trace to it.

If you don't have the manual, contact Danby Customer Service US / Canada.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Washing machine defaults to clean washer option

Sounds like user interface board. Try unplugging the machine, press power button for 3 seconds, plug machine back in and try again. If this does help, it will probably be a temporary fix. The user interface board is the one mounted directly to the console.
