Viper 7153v remote start. I had some work done to my 2005 Ford F250 and not when I use the remote start, the truck will start, shut off in about 15-20 seconds, then restart and continue the cycle.

Just had the same issue with my remote start. 2006 f-350 with a 6.0 powerstroke. Remote start module was in virtual tach mode and that does not work with diesel engines. Just had to have the remote start reprogrammed and put back into tach sense mode. Hope this helps.

according to Viper tech support (I emailed them your question):

Thank you for contacting Directed support!

You may need to reprogram the remote to your phone. Please use the following instructions to reprogram the remote:

To program the remote to your system please do the following:

1) open the driver door
2) turn the key to the "on" or "run" position
3) locate the valet switch (small black button under driver side of dash) and press once, release, then press again and hold
4) after the siren chirps one time press the lock button on the remote
5) the alarm will give you a unique confirmation tone
6) turn the key off (the same unique tone will be heard again)

Why doesn't remote start work?

It says its a Viper alarm system. . If the alarm system is active, reprogramming the ignition keys was a waste of money. The problem is in the control box for the viper alarm system. It has disabled the ignition because it thinks that is being broken into. there are sensors that monitor the the vehicles vibration and is probably a problem with one of the sensors or maybe even the control box itself.
