Access to the bottom of the baffles for tightening the screws requires the lifting of the top cover which also requires the removal of the front panel. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.
The top panel can be lifted only after the front panel is removed. Open
the door and remove the four screws located vertically along the
inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to
the front shroud assembly.
Once the four screws are removed,
grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then
twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt
the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.
The
top panel is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down
brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each
bracket then swing the bracket to the outside and unhook it from the
slot in the top panel lip.
Open the door then lift the front of
the top panel and tilt it toward the rear of the dryer.
Rotate the drum until the baffle screws are positioned on the top for tightening.
Reinstall
the top panel and the front panel by following the removal steps in
reverse order.
open the door, remove the two screws holding the hinge and on the opposite side, pull the front panel towards you then lift off. you will then see two 5/16 screws holding the lid down.

Refer to pages 5-2 and 5-3 of the manual below to see how to expose the drum by lifting the top of the machine. Then turn drum very slowly and only until the screw holes for the missing fins are within your reach. Most of these dryers have two sizes of fins make sure you order the right one if you need to replace them.
To lift the top and access baffle screws, proceed as follows; 1. Remove door hinge screws from cabinet. Door can remain in place. 2. Remove screws and plastic retainers opposite door hinge 3. Grasp each side of the top front panel and pull forward. Lift to remove panel 4. Remove lid retainer clamps from each front top corner. 5. Lift top to access drum baffle screws.

On my 2006 Maytag Atlantis the top is held down by 4 screws 2 under the front and 2 on the back.
To remove the 2 on the front you need to remove the screws in the door and remove the door and front panel, than remove the 2 screws. The 2 screws on the back hold a white plastic fastener. After removing the screw, pry the bottom of the plastic fastener with a flat head screwdriver. Than with a very thin screwdriver or a thin pry bar wedge it under the top cover and just pop it off. Take care to not scratch your dryer while prying the plastic piece off.
I have the same question did you figure it out??
