Replace stk392-110 ic's in Toshiba 42h81 tv

Kits are available but price is not real cheap---basically you have to unbolt chassis and release some cables inside to get enough room to pull chassis back and put up so bottom faces rear of set.

In this model both chips are near the middle of the set inside--unsolder all 18 pins on each and the 4 pins that hold each heat sink in---you remove the sink with chip still attached--clean the white grease off, apply new and replace both chips.

Works best if put front chip WITH THE HEAT SINK ATTACHED back in first and repeat with rear sink---it means when you install you have to get 18 pins plus the four pins for the sink installed in one shot.

May not be a task for a first time person.

Our little gourmet dual hot/cold faucet has just started to gurgle out hot steaming water all day without use. The complete faucet is burning hot. Unit is 4 years old and used frequently.

having hot water trickle out all day will make the whole unit hot,, to the touch,, what you need to do , is turn off both the water supplys under the sink,, then remove the handle by removing the hold down screw,, after that , remove the hot water valve,, Just remove the nut that's on the outside of the fixture, what your going to find is at the end of that valve, is a washer,, made of hard rubber,, that needs replacing,, but also, inside of the fixture is a washer seat, its either brass or stainless steel,, that takes a seat tool wrench to remove that ,, but to make sure its repaired completely, both the washer and seat need to be replaced, seat tools are pretty inexpensive at Lowes , or Home depot,, and thats where you can get the parts you need also,, be sure and compare the old parts with the new, so take them with you when you go, most hardware stores that have plumbing supplies will have what you need, the seat just unscrews , but they can be a little tough,, if you decide to get a seat tool, they have straight ones and 90 degree ones ,, the straight ones you'll need a wrench to assist turning in the removal and install,

Hot water runs - cold water doesn't

I'm guessing this is a single fixture faucet. If it is a sink faucet, make sure your cold water is turned on. If it is a bath faucet and you have other faucets in the room, make sure you have cold water to other faucets. It you have cold water everywhere else, throughout the home, it is more than likely the mixing valve. They are relatively easy to change, unless they are really stuck in there. I am providing a video a on how to change the valve. In most cases, the only thing you can mess up, is, putting the valve in upside down but, if you pay attention to how the tabs, usually white plastic, are positioned when removing, you can install the new one the same way.

Looking for tank psi trying to get better water psi out of the shower and taps

Every faucet and shower have a water saving restricter in them. Remove them from the shower head and end of the faucets.
They are about the size of a dime and with about 1/8" hole in them in which water flows out. So the flow is getting restricted from 1/2' flow to this giving you a water saving about a 1.5 gpm.

Below is some more information for the web site please check it out for further help.
http://www.inspectapedia.com/water/Poor-Water-Pressure-Diagnosis.htm
Poor water pressure just at certain plumbing fixtures? poor cold water pressure, hot water pressure, or both hot and cold water pressure or flow that is observed just at some plumbing fixtures in a building while flow and quantity are good at others suggests that the water flow or pressure problems are local to certain runs of supply piping or to the specific fixtures. Check the following first:
  1. Clogged aerator or strainer on sink faucets - clogging by dirt, debris, corrosion, can significantly reduce both hot and cold water flow at a sink where the strainer needs cleaning or replacement. Unscrew the strainer from the faucet and turn on the water - if the fixture pressure or flow is much better you've probably found the problem.

Look at the aerator/strainer: inspect it, clean it, perhaps soaking it overnight in vinegar to remove corrosion and mineral build-up, or just install a new aerator/strainer.

First it takes over two minutes to get hot water 30 feet away. Then when it's finally hot and adjusted to a comfortable setting in the shower, it only lasts maybe 3 minutes. And in the same room, the...

If the unit is functioning properly, then you need to contact your utility company to see about upgrading the size of the gas line and meter to your house, and possibly the lines IN th house. It may be cheaper to go back to a tank type water heater despite the potential energy savings with a tankless.

Ge dishwasher water backs in when not running after it is empty? Water line to drain is connect to garbage disposel. if i still have problem would like phone to talk to someone thanks

You need to install an air-break to prevent dirty water from entering into the dishwasher.

These are typically installed on the flange of the sink and provides a positive break in the drain line from the dishwasher going into the disposal drain port, thus preventing back flow.

You can get these at any big box or hardware store in the plumbing section. Normaly, these are easy to install with some basic tools, unless you have stone countertops and an undermount sink. In that case, you'll need to install the air gap fixture under the countertop at the highest point possible, unless you want to go to the trouble and expense of having a custom hole cut into the countertop (both costly and not very attractive either).

With an air gap connector (back-flow preventer) installed on the drain line, you'll no longer have sink water able to flow into the dishwasher.

If this was a new dishwasher installation done by a paid professional, you need to contact them, as they did NOT do it properly and violated universal plumbing code by not installing an air gap on the dishwasher drain/discharge line.

If is was a self installation, you should read the installation instructions that came with the dishwasher, as it specificially addresses this issue. If a buddy helped, you might want to find a smarter buddy (kidding). If pre-existing condition, you ncan resolve the problem as I've described above with a little time and not much cost for the parts needed.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Brian just go to the hardware or plumbing store and get the little kit to rebuild the cartridge. If you are not quite sure take the cartridge with you and they will talk you through it.
