Ok so it was not a 91 it was a 90 and i replaced the starter relay but got nothing. I thought as much but 20 bucks to 60 it was worth a try. The car is dead so it has to be the solinoid im thinking but now how to get to it and the starter????oh where oh where is the damn thing and is it going to be a huge pain in the but to do???
Or is there anyone with a manual for the 90 daytona because well have had zero luck tracking one down and free is always the way to go when and if you can so ya ???? ANYONE?
Hootnick: The starter shouldn't be too much of a pain.
What you want to do, standing in front of the car, in the center, facing the engine, look straight down. Look for the engine support bracket. Once you find it, look to the left of it and follow it up to the engine, where the engine and transmission meet. Roughly half way up the block, you will see the starter!
It shouldn't be that difficult to get to or replace.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A HOT BATTERY, GOOD CONNECTIONS, NOT THOSE ADD-ON AFTER THOUGHT CABLE ENDS WHICH CORRODE! Those are notorious for selling starters and batteries which were perfectly good! Current goes around the outer parameters of the wire, not through the core, consequently, corroded surfaces from bad connections make for poor diagnosis.
Good luck.
