Question about Electrolux Washing Machines

EWX14450 washer dryer. Drain works fine. Why is it overflowing?

Recently stopped working properly. On a normal wash cycle the drum fills but continues to fill past the normal point until it flows over the detergent drawer. Strangely though when the machine is on dryer mode it cycles for about 10-15 minutes and then beeps showing E10 error code which according the manual is a blocked water inlet hose!?

Found the problem. after taking the lid off. i took the pressure switch off the hose. blew on the pressure switch when filling and you can hear the 3 clicks. the machine resumed onto next phase. i blew down the hose and this was clear and bubbling into machine. but then i discovered half way down the hose - it was damaged and had a hole. presumably from the drum rubbing on the hose over many years. now just need too replace this and it should work fine.

previous checks i did was to check the filter was clear first, and use a wooden spoon to try and turn pump inside filter hole too see if there was resistance, also removed drain pipe into bucket to check flow rate was high. drain stage worked fine. Drying phase trickled water in but would not drain, (water during this phase is okay, its used for the condensing process) but i also suspected the filling inlet valve. but this stops filling as soon as you power off the washing machine, so it couldn't be this. for me that left me with only the pressure switch and hose left at fault...

SOURCE: Washer continuously fills but drains at the same time during rinse cycle.

you have the drain pipe too low into tthe house drain pipe, raise the washers drain pipe up , you only need four inches down into the hous drain

also the house drain pipe needs to be as high as the lid of the machine before you put the washer drain tube into the house drain

you have a syphoning effect

gabehart....sounds like belt is slipping. Replace it. The water pump is on a separate smaller motor so is not affected by the agitator/spin motor.

SOURCE: kenmore elite h4 washer fh code

F/H is a no water fault code, so i would recheck your incoming water supply, or look to a problem with the inlet water valve.. if your using stainless steel hoses, form the manufacture lableld FLOOD SAFE, these maybe your issue as well they have a buitl in water shut off, htat may be failing preventing water from entering

SOURCE: LG all in one washer dryer fills with water on the drying cycle

I had the same problem with my machine this week and I discovered an auxillary drain that was clogged with lint. If you lift the inner lip on the bottom of the door gasket you will see a small hole. This hole is actually connected to a skinny tube that drains to the main water pump. Mine was clogged with lint and the water that had accumulated there was draining back into the drum and soaking the clothes again. I cleaned it out and blew air through it and now the machine works like new again. I hope this helps.

Why is my Amanda 7300 tandem washing machine not doing the wash cycle? It stops after water has filled and stats to beep 3 times in intervals....

Sometimes this can happen when the power button does not return completely when pressed in. My cheap & cheerful solution was to use a bit of Blu-Tak on the button, so I could pull it all the way out.

Whirlpool Estate Washer will not stop filling.

There is a fill switch that is not being triggered. Find out where that is. The dog hair could be the culprit. This switch is but cutting the tank fill. God Bless John

Ge wbsr washer overflows...

Could it be ...this happens only when it is overloaded or the load is out of balance. Please clarify.

If this is not the case .. the water level hose running from the outside tank to the water level switch is likely not making a good seal (otherwise the water level switch itself is bad). Sometimes with age the hose forms a crack in it near or at the end where it connects. This could happen at either end of the hose. Also if you have removed the control panel recently (for any reason) you may have (not knowingly) pulled the water level hose loose from the water level switch. Just slide the hose back onto the tube of the switch before putting the control panel back in place and all will be fine after the first filling of the tub (it may take one filling cycle to build the needed vacuum back up in the hose). Unless of course in the process you have broken the tube off the switch where the hose goes on. In this case replace the switch.

My Roper top loading washing won't stop filling.

It's not necessarily the angle of your drain hose. When it drains as you fill it, it's called a siphon condition. Pull the excess hose out of the stand pipe (drain). Only about 6" should remain inside the pipe. Tie it down with a plastic tie to one of your fill hoses to prevent water pressure from pushing it back out. This should solve your problem.

Calypso - water goes straight to drain hose-not drum

the hose may still be filled from last cycle. try to put machine in final spin mode where all water from previous wash will be spun out the drain hose. once a siphon is started it can only be stopped by introducing air into the drain hose.
