Question about Ricoh Aficio MP 161 Black and White Copier
Open the right cover where you normally remove the paper jams, then open front cover/door where you put toner, lift the green handle up,push green lock towards the right side while pulling the hopper out, then theres a connector beneath the PCU,pull it then pull out the PCU,use the same same procedure to put it in,start with the PCU,return the connector and put in the hopper, then close all doors/covers

SOURCE: Color Photo Conductor Unit
the vertical line that you saw is an indication of either it is normally worn out, or something has caused the scratched, by any material ( PC drum is very sensitive to any material and can easily damaged or scratched any solid and unwanted dirt inside) see you actual meter reading. if it falls on the first thousand copies or print then it might have caused by a scratched, if it falls beyond the PM parts repalcement then there is nothing you can do but to replace this.
sometimes you can swap the colors, by the affected color use the yellow drum unit to the affected drum, the vertical would not that be obvious.
