Has there been any damage? Has the AC jack plug been damaged due to pulling on the cord while plugged in? Have you tried a System Restore/Recovery? Does the Battery charge?

SOURCE: I have a DV9000 17" Notebook, power led blink three times

Okay the logistics here of this laptop that would be normal for the power light not to come on without battery in place REASON? Because this laptops primary source is battery secounary source AC power.

A Blinking light and no boot means a hardware failure. I would need to personally look at it to tell you 100 percent what is the cause but I would rather you take it to Best Buy and have them do a full eval on it for under $50 bucks if there is something really wroung they can follow up with a warranty claim.

My dell studio 1537 is not booting, volume lights are on min. volume indicator blinks

Power off the machine and then remove the battery. Once the battery is removed, plugin the AC Adapter and power on the machine. If it boots up fine, the problem is most likely your battery. If it still gives you the same issue, the problem is most likely your AC Adapter.

My laptop wont turn on and yet its fully charge. The power light keeps on blinking with orange and when i push the start button, it turns green and when i stop pushing, it turns orange again-blinking.

Hi.

This sounds like there is a problem with the battery.
Remove the AC mains power and take out the battery from the laptop. Plug AC power back in and try booting the laptop up.
If it boots up let it boot into Windows/linux and then shut the computer down as normal. Remove AC power and re-insert the battery. Plug AC back in and power it up, see if it does the same thing. If it does the same thing the battery is faulty. If it boots up with the battery in then there was a glitch.

My emachine d620 laptop will not power on. the led light is green and the battery is charged. the power button is not working.

Hi. I would suggest that you powerdrain your computer might fix this. To powerdrain your computer you must remove first the battery and unplug the ac adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds, after that you must place back the battery and plugin the ac adapter then turn on your computer. If this doesnt work try to powerdrain again the laptop then just use the ac adapter to turn on your computer and that is without the battery. Hope this helps.

Laptop wont boot up

Stay away from Emachines in the future. Pay another $100 and get a real computer.
1. check that nothing is in the CD-Rom drive and restart the computer.
2.Shut down the computer. Unplug the AC power. Remove the battery pack. Wait 2 minutes or until machine cools.
try powering on comp on battery alone, then try with AC power alone.

It's on but not charge

If the light on the adapter was flashing, I would certainly replace it first. You can buy recertified chargers from each computer manufacturer and save $$.

I would also check where the cord from the charger plugs into the laptop just to make sure nothing had gotten inside the jack plugin area and may be preventing it from seating correctly.

VAIO TX Series laptop will not boot.

I want you to try something and i swear I have fixed laptops under these same symptoms.

  1. Pull the battery
  2. pull the HDD
  3. Pull the Ram
I want you to blow out all the ports on your laptop including ram slots and where your hard drive plugin. Leave all of this out for at least ten minutes as so the capacitors can discharge the energy that is in them. Sometimes laptops will incur a power spike and will be unable to release the extra energy and the system shuts itself down almost like self preservation. There are no symptoms that lead up to this. Try this and if the above doesn't work try booting with different RAM and so on once you have exhausted all possible culprits then you can say that the motherboard is bad. keep me updated
