Have you checked that you are sending the print job using the correct paper tray on the printer? Check the properties of the printer to ensure you are. Check also that the printer is OK by running a test print from the printer and not through the PC. If I remember it's hold the green button for around 7-10 seconds, whilst powering on.

1. Ensure that paper trays are loaded and adjusted properly so media can feed from the tray. It might be necessary to reduce the stack height of media in the tray. 2. Check the input area for obstructions such as media in the path. Also check to see if the registration assembly damaged or unseated. 3. Replace any defective sensors or flags. 4. Verify the media meets the specifications. 5. Check the pickup feed and separation rollers for unusual wear. Replace as needed. 6. Rotate the media in the input tray by 180° and/or turn it over

To perform a cold reset
1 Turn the MFP off and then on.
2 When the memory count appears on the control-panel display, press and hold 6 until all three
LEDs flash once and then stay on. This might take up to 20 seconds.
3 Press 3 four times until COLD RESET appears on the control-panel display.
4 Press 6 one time. The MFP continues its initialization sequence.

Try doing an NvRam on the printer (Hard Reset):
1. Turn the printer off
2. Press and hold the right arrow and the cancel button
3. Turn the printer on while still holding those buttons
4. Keep holding them until you see a message that say "permanent storage init"
This should clear that error message
You must be using new hp original supplies otherwise the unit will not recognize the cartridge.
Try checking with flash light if theres a broken piece or a small piece of paper that could be blocking the printer sensors before you reinstall the cartridge
