Question about Televison & Video
It sounds that its main system control memory IC is damaged. Do a hard reset to this set, and try. Unplug the set from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 5 minutes or so. Your may be in shop mode, I'm not sure if Vizio's have a service menu. Go to setup and go through the install process again, watch for a demo or shop mode setting. If there isn't a setting then you need a new mainboard

The Inverter Transformer on the power supply/backlight inverter board goes bad. It's what powers up the screen for your TV. When the part goes bad, it doesn't have enough juice to power the screen and the TV automatically turns off. You have 5 Inverter Transformer on your board.

If your TV does not have a digital tuner, you'll need a digital converter box.
After the digital switch in June, did you have channels then? If so just do a rescan.
