LD451EGL no water extraction

Apparently, the fans are running, but the compressor has shut down. It could be a failed compressor, or the charge in the system could have leaked out causing the compressor to shut down.

I have a goldstar DH40 , just bought it at a yard sale -

Give it a good cleaning before you do anything else. If the fins or filter are dirty, you won't get good service from it. Make sure the drain path is open.

I bought the FriedrichD50. It worked fine in 2 weeks with the built in pump. After I disconnected the drainage by using the bucket, no water comes out. Does it make sense the machine runs 2 days straight...

Yes, it does make sense, depending on what humidity extraction level you have it set on. Set to high, it will will remove little to low condensation/humidity. Set it to 35% or if you have an analog model (no LED screen) set the humidity extraction knob on Maximum Also, be sure that the air intake filter is clean.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

How do I set the humidity % on my dehumidifier? I lost the User Manual and the unit is not collecting water after running for hours. Make: Airworks - Model: A1DMDA10AG

If you have an LED screen on your unit, lower (arrow down) the humidity extraction level to 35 - 40%. If you have an analog unit, turn the humidity extraction knob to Maximum (which should be clockwise).

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

My humidifier stars and stops, start and stops. It runs for a minute then shuts off.

It sounds as if you may have the humidity extraction level set to high. Try lowering it you 35% and check the water collection bucket, to make sure it is installed properly

Hope this helped you.

I acquired used Amcor AHD65 Dehumidifier a couple days ago. I was told that it is just beyond the warranty period. I assume that it is a barely a year old. However, It worked this evening a sort since it...

You may still have some packaging materials left inside the unit. The plastic pan doesn't stay in side the bucket. It's used as a drain pan on the outside. Also, be sure the air intake filter is in place, is clean and there are no packaging materials behind it.

To extract more humidity, after checking all the things mentioned above. Lower the extraction level to 32 to 35%. Lower percentages means extraction of more humidity. (i.e.200% -35% = 5% drop in humidity).

Hope this helps you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Dehumidifier headaches!

There are three things that must be working to extract water. The 'coil' (a finned metal part that allows air passage) if it's filled with dust and obstructions, no air can water. There is a blower motor that mus move the air. If it is seized up an not blowing air...very little or no water. The compressor uses condensation from the air moving across its coils (like the moisture than forms on a cold glass on a humid day) to extract the water from the air. If it's not working then no water.
So, if there is air blowing out of the dehumidifier the blower is working. If the air is room temp the compressor is not working. If it's real hot air, and the humidifier keeps cycling on and off quickly, the coil is dirty. Those are the 3 things that need to be working.
