A simple opener is just a piece of metal with a rectangular or rounded opening in one end and a solid handle large enough to be gripped between the thumb and forefingers on the other. The opening contains a lip that is placed under the edge of the bottle top, pulling it off when upward force is applied to the handle end of the opener.

Bleeding the slave cylinder

A simple procedure.. I use a length of clear plastic tubing..about 1m will do...with a snug fit on the slave cylinder bleed screw. Simply attach one end of the tubing to this screw and the other into a clear bottle with at least 50mm of clean brake fluid, making sure the end of the tube is immersed in fluid. Personally I like to place the bottle in the engine compartment where it can be easily seen. So with everything in place, open the bleed screw, fill the reservoir to max then begin pumping. After several strokes ..perhaps 4-6..you will begin to see fluid moving up the tube. Continue pumping until fluid begins to fill the bottle, with no signs or traces of air bubbles. Be sure to check the reservoir often while pumping , topping off as required. Leaving bottle in place, slide under car, tighten bleed screw disconnect tubing then remove bottle and tubing from area. Inspect for fluid spillage and if any is found, flood with clear water, close bonnet and test drive. Good luck.

How can I open a bottle of beer without an opener?

You can easily open a bottle of bear by putting the edge of the cap on the edge of a table and bringing your fist down on it. You can also leverage a spoon or lighter over your pointer finger while holding the bottle between your thumb and pointer.

All of a suddent the coolant bottle ran out and the car over headed I had to shut it down and found the bottle was empty.. any reasons why it would do that?

start simple , fill bottle and look for a leak in the bottom of bottle, bottle may have crack ,it won't empty on its own unless theres a leak some where. look under vehicle and try to spot leaks , look around hose connections.

What does a simple rain guage consist of?

There are a variety of commercial rain gauges available on the market, however making a simple rain gauge is quick, easy and only costs as much as a plastic bottle. Chances are you already have everything you need to make this simple rain gauge, which is fun to construct, and interesting to use. Read on to learn how to make a simple rain gauge.

  1. Cut the top off of your plastic bottle. Cut about a quarter of the way down, to where the bottle begins to have a consistent diameter. Be careful to cut the edge as smoothly as possible, salvaging both pieces of the bottle.

  2. 2

Remove the bottle cap and turn the top part of the bottle upside down, placing it into the bottom part. Connect the two halves with paper clips.

  3. 3

Place the plastic bottle rain gauge in a location where it will easily collect rain without impediment from surrounding trees, plants or buildings.

  4. 4

Help your rain gauge stand upright by placing it in a sand or gravel filled bucket. Simply make a hole in the sand or gravel large enough that half the bottle gauge sits into the pit. Use the gravel or sand to support the edges of the bottle gauge.

  5. 5

Measure the amount of rain caught by your gauge by emptying the contents of the bottle rain gauge into a measuring cylinder.

Grill is one old and won't light. There is no gas coming from the tank to the grill. Is it the regulator?

age of the grill is irrelevant, i am old and i still can do few thingzzzz...

i assume that your regulator is connected directly to the bottle, then hose to your bottle, then hose is connected to the regulator and other end to the grill?

or it is bottle, hose, regulator, grill?

you need to follow the path regardless, be outside, light breeze is better, no open flame in at least 20m (yards) radius in any direction.

1. close gas bottle/tank
2. disconnect, everything from the bottle
3. crack open tank valve and hear if gas is escaping, close valve back
4. connect regulator to the bottle and again crack open the valve, hear if you have esacping gas, allow actually whiff of gas against your cheek or wetted finger to establish the flow. close the valve
5. connect hose to the regulator (procedure is reversed if first is hose and then regulator), crack open the valve, hear for escaping gas, check against wetted finger and cheek if there is flow, close the valve
6. connect your grill open all valves on it and open valve on the tank/bottle. allow free flow for about 30sec, close valves on grill. vent grill for about two minutes, try to ignite any of the burners. if burner ignite, you solved the problem, if they do not, and you did have flow on all previous stages, close bottle valve, disconnect everything from grill, clean grill valves and nozzles (burner have nozzle inside!), reconnect and vent again, try ignite, if ignition occures, you solve the problem, if not, then you are due for new grill...

if at any stage you do not have gas flow, this meant that this particular piece of equipment is in trouble, this particular piece of equipment need then repair or replacement, under no circumstance pull apart the reducer! NO OPEN FLAME DURING TESTING!!!
