Re: extractor hood

Unfortunately NO, use the template provided. Please ensure there are no cables running through the walls before you drill.

AEG DK9660 extractor hood; the control panel has come loose; any pressure & it pops back out

You have to remove the base plate. There are 3 screws, one at each corner and one in middle at back. We had to release unit from wall by 5 mm to get at them as it was tiled up to unit. To release unit, remove filters and loosen screws holding it to wall. There are hooks higher up that continue to take the weight so it will not fall. I put a couple of wedges in to hold the unit off the wall. Take out 3 screws holding base plate and lower back, the front them comes out of slots. You can unplug the light wires and release the clips for the control cable to drop it down onto work top. Then you can easily work on switch unit. The plastic mounting had snapped on one side of mine, I used a longer screw and a square of metal behind to hold it in place. Then reverse the process, you need someone to hold the back of the base plate while you line up slots at the front.

Bosch dke 935 90cm hood. light and extractor not working

The fuse will be located in the switch or socket that the hood is connected to. This is sometimes inside the flue on the back wall. There should be two small screws either side of the chimney located at the top, unscrew and slide one part of the chimney down, please be careful as stainless steel has very sharp edges.

Wiring problem

Yes just like damic says,
But dont forget to add a fused switch one as well.
You'll be glad you did.

What i did was..from the hood, i did a channel into the wall (with plastic conduit).. to go left then followed it down to make it flush.
(so i could put the cupboard back on)
Plastered then tiled up the area as well as added the extra plug.
It'll run sraight off the mains.

Neff extractor fan not working

I have a similar problem with a Whirlpool oven hood. In my case the kitchen fiitters used a (UK) standard 3-pin plug to power the hood. The plug is fitted into a socket that is placed on top of the cupboards that house the hood.
I have replaced the 3 amp fuse in the plug and now the fan is working.
HOwever, the light isn't working and so I'm assuming that the bulb has blown and that this has caused the fuse to blow as well.
Now my problem is accessing the bulb so that I can replace it.

One way to check is to track down a schematic of the parts. That will often give you a good idea of there the part attaches and how.

Hi - I have a neff extractor fan and have the same problem. The light and fan have both stopped working. Does anybody know where I can find the fuse as I suspect that this may be the problem too?
