SOURCE: hyundai 2001 XG300 tensioner pully adjustment

the belt that goes on the alt. ?? if so the tensioner is accessed from under neath the car. You will have to remove the right side tire and plastic sheild that is in place. When you look up at the bottom pulley you will see a nut head. If you lay on your back and look up at the engine, it will be located on the left or front side of the car.

Hi Paul It sounds like the belt is worn, stretched, or possibly just two long for your machine. Save yourself a lot of aggrivation by checking your operator manual and getting exactly the right belt for your mower.

You don't say how old your machine is but if it has been mowing for many, many hours, the tensioning spring may need to be replaced. If that is the case you can order a new one at Sears.com

SOURCE: need serpentine belt adjusted

You cant adjust the belt tensioner. You have to replace it if it wont provide the proper tension.

How do you adjust the deck belt on a Toro LX 420 riding mower?

The deck belt is not adjustable, it is tightened by the number 26 spring. Spring can loose tension or the belt could be stretched.

Toro 6.5hp 22" Recycler model#20072 Self-prpel

John, adjusting the cable would have been my first suggestion as well, there are two screws accesible from under the deck to get the black cover off (one of them is in a corner and may be hard to see). Once you get the cover off you may be able to see if you may have a tension problem, belt problem, etc. Goodluck!

I have a Toro Proline walk behind . Problems with the self propel

I suspect the drive belt, not the Hydro. Especially if the drive belt was never replaced. The belts are known to stretch and wear out over time. It's a cheap part.

Drive belt not engaging. need more tension on

does the lever feel spongy when you try to engage it(not solid as it felt new)? usually this is caused by tightening the adjustment screw too far out.if so you brobally have a bad engagement lever on the transmission. the bad news is the lever is not avalible alone. you either have to bite the bullet and buy a transmission or find a junker that dosen't have the same problem.
