Change wheel belt on a Simrad wp30 autopilot?

I have just removed the 10 year + old belt on my Simrad autopilot but can't get the new one on? Any advice on an easy way of doing that?

Which drive are you using with the AP24, is it just a hydraulic pump on a powerboat, like our RPU80, or is it a hydraulic linear drive (like our HLD-2000) or draglink drive (like our DD-15) on a sailboat?

Simrad ac10 current overload

Normally this is the electric motor causing this problem. Just went on a call and had the same thing. Checked voltage coming from the AC unit to the motor and had 12 vdc then put a new one in it's place and it solved the problem. You don't have to change the pump portion, just change the motor itself. Indeed you will have fluid leaking but many times it's better than plumbing in a new pump.
