SOURCE: Fuse blows after turning on control center

I have a similar problem on the Gigaworks S750 system. Upon opening, I have found that the IC driving the switch mode power supply becomes basically a short, and that the transformer becomes damaged as a result there of as well. Then you have about 22 Ohms connected to your mains (after the bridge rectifier) which causes the fuse to blow. Is there anyone that can assist with a circuit diagram for this system, or of contact details as to where I can find out what the specifications of the transformer is? Can not seem to find any technical assistance in South Africa

SOURCE: driver jbl pro speakers

I use these speakers since 2000. It will be 9 years this October!!! They work very good. I never used any drivers for them. I changed three computers with different mother boards / sound cards and they worked fine with any Sound Manager I tried.

JBL PB12 will have loud thump or pop!

First try to find the source of your problem. The easiest way would be to try your sub with a different audio source to see if the problem still occurs but is sounds more like there's a problem with the receiver.

A low frequency all the time from the subwoofer. Infinity tss-450 (120 vac)

Try hooking the speaker into a different input device if the problem still occurs most likely the built-in amplifier is shot & has a bad capacitor or other component. You can also try remove all RF emoting devices far away from speakers like cell phones, devices with motors like fans, or any other wireless device or least turn them off. Sometimes other devices on the same A/C circuit can cause interference, computers, tvs, etc.

More likely to be the Class D power amp module, but you should look through the service manual to make sure all the parts are installed correctly. My PB10 AMP module went out and you cannot get one anymore.

Jbl subwoofer

There is actually some good news.  I had this problem with my PB10s (1 have 2 PB10s and 2 PB12s) It is one of 2 things, the first is that it could be a capacitor and resister combination on the amplifier board (which was the fix for our PB10 with the same problem), or 2nd, the AMP IC, which is not available for the PB12. hmmm

Jbl PB12 powered sub woofer problem

These subs have had many problems, all associated with the amplifier section. PB 12's with an "M" as part of the ser. no. were assembled in Mexico and these are the ones with the amp problems. JBL fixed mine and sent it back no charge, BUT it cost me nearly $100 to send it to them in the first place. I have another one that has had no problems at all. Try sending it back for repair. At best you'll get a rebuilt unit back, at worst a substantial discount from the company for a new sub.
