check your signal strength and quality, if bad, may be you need to re-alighn your LNB and have a good signal strength then scan all required channels will be restored

Our Topfield TRF 7180 records ok but pixilates and then keeps skipping when playing back. Can anyone help with is problem or do we just need to replace it? TIA

It may be a fault with the hard disk which does the recording, but I'd check the signal strength to the unit first. You need a good signal for reliable recording, one which does not drop in and out. You should use quad shield coax cable right from the aerial to the back of the Topfield

E300 electric scooter battery,

The scooter uses batteries specifically designed for deep discharge applications. If your new batteries are not lasting then they may only be suitable for standby or backup type applications like for your house alarm system or garage door opener when the mains power goes out.

Try changing the input device to something you are sure works. Then check whether you have selected the input in your remote before scanning. Whether the signal detection is auto for PAL/SECAM/...... If you know the format, select it manually and see. If it is a Video/Audio input, check for connections properly in the AV input and select the same AV in your remote.

How do I reinstall the channels for complete digital TV in my area?

You can redo auto scan for channels anytime.
The US DTV technology is still changing. The software autoupdate for your DTV tuner and memory can be done anytime by broadcast station signal. So, from day to day your tuner may improve in sensitivity to reach farther DTV stations. And the picture quality can also change by new decoders downloaded into the DTV converter.

TV displays "no signal" with every input type we try. The only thing that works is the DVD. I even tryed it on a cable cord that was working from another TV

hello are you using a digital antenna, cable or satelite reception? you need to run your "set up" and scan for channels either automatically scan or manual scan, recomend a auto scan for all channels both digital and anolog, these tv will scan and save or store the channels but you need to run a channel scan first,
(even if your using a cable box or sat box)
back when we had the older anolog sets you could just plug it in and watch but with these new digital circuts need to scan and store the channels in before you can watch the broadcasts,, try that let me know what happens. hope this helps

Decoder keep scanning

well, firstly. u have a sat finder!! great!! now lets see if i can teach u how to use it, when you hook it up there will always be some sort of signal, (other electronic waves in the air) the best way to check is to put ur hand in front of the LNB (the square box in front of the dish) if he signal goes down, the signal was fine to begin with, if it goes up, the dish is out, if nothing happens... dead LNB, which in my experiance, the most likely cause, dont for get to reset your decoder once you have solved the problem.. good luck
