I also had roper washer model RAX 4232KQO for about three or four years. It washed great but would walk around on spin. It was in a house I rented out to someone else. Three years later I moved back. The roper still walked around on spin. I went to APD, a parts store and purchased a repair book. I took the washers case off. All the (3)suspension springs were intact as were the counter weight spring. When reassembling the washer a saw a yellow plastic band that had embossed on it pull out. I had pulled out the band attached by a yellow plug when I first purchased and set up the machine. What I did'nt do was completely remove the band which had two cotter pins attached four years earlier. I pulled out the band with the two cotter pins. I put the case back on, plugged the machine back in and put the machine on spin. The Roper Model RAX 4232KQO never worked so good! I guess I should have read the setting up instructions!

Does it happen all the time, with no connection to laundry quantity? In case of a positive answer, it sound like a shock absorber issue. Could be that it's moved from its place or become malfunction and should be replaced. Good luck

Why does it always become unbalanced in spin cycle?

how confident are you to get inside it? Check the balance springs and shock absorbers.

Normally it is two simple things.

First the machine must be level front to back and left to right. Also all 4 feet must be in equal contact with the floor.

Make sure you load the washer evenly with clothes. Mix large and small items so when the spin starts the clothes even out. Never wash just one large item that is very absorbent, like one bathrobe or one blanket..

My washer goes into spin cycle byitself and when washing,if u r in spin cycle it sets for 14 mins thats good 4 mins into spin all knob lights start flashing and the screen says uL

One thing to understand is that this is a difficult problem to pin down and may end up requiring the control board to be replaced.

The UL or unbalanced load error is displayed when the control board senses an out of balanced load.

You don't indicate if the washer is actually out of balanced or not when the code appears but the description of banging and shaking would indicate it is out of balanced.

If the washer consistently bangs and shakes in spin then I's suggest you remove the spin basket and check under it for obstructions that might prevent the washer from spinning smoothly.

Washer walks across floor on spin cycle and my level says its level

If the level is registering the machine as level, then you probably have an unbalanced load that is causing it to "walk." When it starts walking, lift the lid, wait until the spinning stops and redistribute the articles in the basket. I hope this helps. The washer is 2.5 years old. The Basket has no stability during the spin and wash cycle. The basket bangs against the side of the machine and the machine bounces around the laundry room moving sometimes...

they do dance well dont they? this is caused by the support springs coming off the drum holder and the drum will have droped a little as well,
take off the top of the washer and look down each side you should see the support springs if the off just hook them back on or fit new one's?
dont leave this as it will pull all the pipes off inside the washer
its an easy fix,

There is a switch mounted on the cabinet wall which is supposed to cut out the spin cycle if the load is unbalanced. This switch may be bad. Also, check the suspension. Lift the top, check 4 rods mounted in rubber buffers. One may be loose.

Kenmore washer series 70 shakes wildly during spin during cycle

I have the same kenmore and have experience this before. It is unbalanced. Get a spirit level to check for balance. To rebalance, empty the washer (so it's not heavy), lean over the washer and grab the back, tilt it forward and the auto balancing legs should reposition themselves. Re-check for balance using the spirit level. If still out, adjust the front feet of the washer by screwing the legs up or down (using a wrench). This will cure the problem (unless you have a very unbalanced load of towels for instance). Good luck

Loud Noise - Spin Cycle

If the washer is making a squealing noise, the problem is more likely to be the basket drive. If it is more like a rattling sound, the centerpost bearings are probably worn out. Open machine's rear panel and spin the basket manually by turning the drive pulley, to find out from where exactly the noise come from. Defective part should be replaced. Good luck !!
