First of all you have to check the Va - 60V and Vs - 80V voltages at the power supply point. If any one of the voltage is missinig there are two possiblities for that. One is the power supply itself and the second one is the sacn drive modules for X and Y. If the scan drive modules are faulty then the or short then the Va Ans Vs voltage from the power supply will drops.you have to measure using a multimeter is there is any short circuit in its power supply in put point. When the voltages from Va and Vs point are missing then this will indicated by the blinking of power light. To rectify the problem you need a good knowledge in electronics. Aslo need the necessary equipments for measuring the voltage at different points
You need to check and see if the VS and the VA voltages are right. There should a lable on the inside panel that let you know what the VA & VS should be reading. If those are correct then you could have a bad Y-Board.
Well, today may be your lucky day. This is a 200.00 repair at least, but I'll attempt to help you for free. Most commonly on this set the pip module fails. This is a small standup board mounted on the signal pcb. There are 2 plugs that connect it to the signal board. These plugs are VS and VA. First, Disconnect the power to the tv and remove either the front or rear cover. Use good lighting. Disconnect small standup board from signal pcb using a small screwdriver to undo the two clips at VA and VS connectors. Pins of the VA connector are marked on the board so you can tell which one is pin 1 through 11. Simply jump a small wire from pin 5 to pin 11 and a small wire from pin 7 to pin 9. Make sure the wires do not touch and this will bypass the pip module for testing. With pip module removed and 2 jumpers installed plug set in and turn on. The set should now show a picture but the pip will no longer work. Hope this helps. Good luck, Russmann.
You will most likely have a fault with the Y or Z- Sustain board. It might be one of the fuses has blown on the board. You would need to check this & check if you are getting your Vs & Va voltage supplies to these boards. There are other possibilities, it may be advisible to call your service repair centre.
Most likely you could have a fault with the Y-Sustain board or Z-Sustain board. You will need to check if you are getting the Vs & Va voltages to the baord (Vs voltage about 195v & Va voltage about 65v). If these are present then most likely the board is at fault.
There are many reasons to cause the TV clicks.
Power supply board failure
Y board and buffers are defective
Mainboard is defective.
If you want DIY, open the back cover then check those fuses on the power supply board - this board has the power plug comes in. Then check Va, Vs in comparision with label sticked on the back panel. If Va, Vs does not have there, replace the power supply. If yes, you may unplug the cable which is connected to Y board and buffers-power on and see Va, Vs has any change. If yes, the Y board and buffers need replaced.
