Question about Kitchen Ranges
This morning we went to cook breakfast and the stove top was not heating on any burner. After this we checked the oven as well, and none of the heating elements were engaging. The clock, control panel, vent fan, and oven light work fine. I checked the breaker and it was fine. The outlet is receiving power and so is the terminal box. What could this issue be? Sean
It sounds like you are getting only one side of the power to your stove. the lights will work but no heat. your power breaker has two sides for an electric stove. It may be one side isn't reset properly. make sure that you snap the breaker completely off and then completely back on. if that doesn't work perhaps an electrician is in order or one side of your power cord has burned off at the terminal block. I have had this happen.

Just a suggestion, turn the breaker off to the range and leave off for 30 secs. This may reset the board. That's the easy way. If that doesn't help I'll try to find more on it.

You need to check the connection at the back of the unit that hooks to the house power. Turn off breakers or pull fuses before checking. It sounds like you only have half of the voltage you need. One of the wire connectors may be burnt or you may have a problem with the house wiring.

We tested the EOC and it will indeed need a replacement. Also, just a couple weeks prior we ran the "clean" mode on the oven as did another poster who experienced the "pop" and loss of the control board/oven function, but still had stove top function.
