Walmart mod # EM720CWA-PM. There is very little space around suspected part. It sure looks simular to your instructions. Do I just bend it back and forth until the contact breaks.?

It's best to desolder it, but I really can't say for sure about bending it without having the unit in front of me. But that's how i would probably do it.

If it's possible to mute or turn down the volume, the owner's manual will cover it.
If not, you may want to take extreme measures, as shown in the video.

The buzzer stays on after we just had a short power off.

Remove power to the microwave for few minutes, press down all the front panel buttons to drain off residual voltage so as to reset the processor or memory..
If the fault repeats, try to shut off power overnight , if not there is error on the processor to output the buzzer.

Electrolux high speed oven quit beeping

The buzzer on the keypad control has opened, or one wire has come off due to poor soldering, or the voltage to the buzzer is missing.

Beeping on Sunbeam SGB8901 Microwave

Unplug microwave, open top, "several screws" look to where the keypad is, behind that you should see the control board, mounted you should see a round black device may be a speaker or pizza buzzer, verify that is sound.

My microwave beep went away, is it locked

If the microwave is not working at all the main control panel or the touch pad can be faulty. However if only the beep is not heard but the microwave works fine then the buzzer can be changed. remove the board, check the buzzer with an external voltage after removal to confirm . If not the buzzer driver can be faulty.

Whirlpool Microwave GH5184XPB - just off warranty. Buzzer no longer sounds when cooking is done. Can I access the control panel and replace the buzzer?

It's more likely to be a software problem, not hardware.

First, I'd give it a good reset by unplugging it for a minute or so, then plugging it back in, and trying it again.

If that doesn't work, check the settings on the menus. It may be turned off. Consult your owner's manual.

If for some reason you don't have yours, you can download Whirlpool owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help or see our Web site.

The audible buzzer no longer sounds

most likley the buzzer has died on you, however its not very smart to try to fix it yourself as there is very hight voltage inside the microwave even after its been switched for for a long time, if you realy cant live without a buzzer going off, brop it into a repair man to fix it for you
is it realy worth the risk of killing yourself just to save a fuw bucks, also microwaves are so cheep now is it realy worth spending good money getting it fixed ?? a new one may be the best way forwards

Steady buzzer noise

It may be as simple as a loose screw in the cover causing it to vibrate, or as serious as a failing magnetron.

While a microwave should never be left unattended, it's even more important when one is exhibiting a failure or any odd behavior.

So play it safe and stay with it while it's running.

It may be best to practice watchful waiting and wait until it fails "harder" or more seriously.

No sound or buzzer

If your model doesn't have a "beeper volume" button, maybe you can reset it by unplugging it for about a minute or so then checking it. If you don't have your owner's manual, you can download it from here: http://genet.geappliances.com/DocSearch/Dispatcher
