How do I get water stains out of light wood?

you could try a lite colored Old English Oil. this might put some of its natural colors (like when you got it) back into the piece.

ask the Amish worker if you still have contact. he might even be able to give you pointers on how to prevent in the future.

My curling iron has left a burn mark on my laminated bathroom vanity. How can I fix this?

No need to worry, as long as the burn mark is not too deep, this is a quick and easy fix.

Begin by wiping down the surface using a rag and soapy water. Next you will need to make a paste using baking soda and water (three parts baking soda to one part water) and apply over the burn mark. Allow this paste to sit for 20-30 minutes. Next you will need to use an old toothbrush and scrub the area until the mark has disappeared - you may need to apply more paste. Wash away the mess.

Since your vanity surface is laminate - as long as it is white - you can use plain white toothpaste instead of the baking soda/water mixture.

Usually the lense pops off and the bulb comes out.
It should be described in your owners manual.

Have 2 compact flourescents in the bathroom vanity. was in the tub and heard a strange sound.(like air in the faucet) for a few seconds, then the strong smell of electrical burning for several minutes....

Hello,
The problem is probably in the wiring behind the bulbs. If I were you I would not use those lights until you can get an electrictrian in there to pull the vanity lights out and check the wiring.

I have Granit kitchen worktops how do i get wine stains and every day stains off Many thanks

There is a cleaning kit sold by Home Depot in the kitchen counter top area of the store in black bottles for about $25 or so. The company that makes these are experts in cleaning stone. I would recommend calling them. After you get the stains out you will want to seal the counters using their seal or something else that is recommended by the manufacturer of your counters. The process to seal is simple and should be done every time you notice water absorbing into the stone (or ideally before that starts to happen). Good luck and your posting of the specific advice received from Stone Solutions and what you did and the result would be greatly appreciated.
