Try using electrical tape to hold the speaker wire to the speaker.

All the speakers including the sub do no have any sound coming off. The only speakers that have sound coming from them are the very last ones in the back seat. How can I fix this?

Hi,
Check the wiring of the speaker that don't work, it might have been disconnected or the wires are cut.
Look at the wires inside the door panel, which the front speaker is located, the wires leading to it might have disconnected via door panel wire harness inlet. You could see the wires at or near the front door pillar hinges.
If the wire is cut off, strip the wire and join them together, wire color should be connected with the same color. After that insulate them by using electrical/plastic tape.
Your local technician can repair it.

Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for using Fixya!

Wiring internal board of labtec computer speakers

The shielded wires are for ground, so they get connected together. Plug the wire into the PC and run some music. Then touch each wire to the others. You only have a couple of combinations to try...red-to-green and white-to-yellow, or red-to-yellow and white-to-green, . You can do this while the PC is one and music playing until you get sound thru the speakers. There virtually no current running thru the wires and you can't hurt the PC by doing this.
If the speakers use an external power supply, have it plugged in and working when trying these connection options.

I cut the wires to my home theatre speakers and I want to splice them back together. How do i do it?

Dont worry this is easy,
1. Strip the wires back about 1/2" each
2. Twist the ends together nice & tight
3. Wrap the exposed wire with electrical tape so you cant see the bare wire
4. test run the speakers
5. If you get any feed back or it sounds bad switch the wires around on the back of the speakers

That should do it
Good Luck

I have Altec Lansing 221, good sounding speakers but the connection cable from the speaker to computer shorts out. Any idea for a replacement cable? Thanks

I would disconnect the power before doing anything! then go to radio shack and buy a cable with the correct plug on it. Then i would cut off as much as possible of the old cable to the speaker, but leave enough room for splicing effectively. Then i would cut open the radio-shack cable and connect the wires of that cable to the remaining wires of the old cable still attached to the speaker. red is left, black is right, and the un-cased wire is negative. Try to figure out what is what on your old wire so that you can splice everything together accordingly. I hope this is not too confusing!! Good Luck!!

JVC Subwoofer problem.

You may have a break in the wire. You can find out by slowing moving your fingers down the wire until you notice sound coming from the subwoofer. You can fix it yourself by cutting about an inch away from the break both ways. Then cuttings some of the wire off, so the copperwire is exposed. then wrap the two copperwire ends together and seal it with elections tape. or Try replacing the 60 watt subwoofer wire.

Spv m3100 sound problem

some times if you have droped it the connector in side for the speaker comes lose. i have had the same problem and its realy easy to open and fix.

There are 4 screws that hold it together and if you undo them it will open up .then on the left hand side in the middle there is a small block box if you look it will usualy be a little lose .just push it in and it will work.................REMEMBER ONLY IF THERE IS NO SOUND AT ALL AND YOU HAVE DROPED IT THEN TRY THIS ,OR TAKE IT TO A REPAIR SHOP .hope that helps.

How to open the case of the speakers?

since u hav removed the mesh and the 4 screws that hold the case of the speaker .As you said that the speaker has no opening points , most companies manufacture the speaker by sandwiching two parts together. In order to open the case of the speaker , you will have to see for a joint line on the edges . it indicates the attachment between the two parts of the speaker . If you find an opening at the back of the speaker as you have mentioned , try to remove the two joints of the speaker by pulling gently at the opposite ends .
