Opening the case is simply a matter of removing the case screws and opening the case. It\'s not difficult. Just be aware of small parts that may come loose in the process.

A few good tips:

  1. Have a clear work space with enough room to set out the parts as they are removed

  2. Projector cases often use a variety of screw lengths and sizes. Draw a map of the projector and place the screws in their positions to help you remember where the screws go when it comes to reassembly (see diagram)

  3. Take pictures for reference later

  4. It might make it easier if you remote the lamp first. Remember, it\'s important not to touch the lamp or any glass part with your bare fingers. It will cause black spots on the lamp and possibly premature failure

  5. Don\'t force the case closed on reassembly. Check for parts that aren\'t seated correctly.

Don\'t bother trying to repair the fan. These are often MagLev types and it\'s much easier to just replace them with an equivalent part. Here\'s a 5000 pound sterling projector on which I replaced the fan.

I have the speakers S125i of logitech, but there is a piece that is loose inside of the speakers, at the begining the speakers sounds well, but then the left speaker stoped working. I think I'm able...

The Logitech is a little tricky. You need to carefully pry off the white bezel around the speakers and then pry away the grills. Under the grill you will find four screws holding the two speakers, and four screws set deep in holes.

Undo these eight screws and the front will come off.

Hi, I have a pair of EVZX4. One of them making really bad noise especially when bass playing. I wanted to open and check the problem but I couldn't. I don't know how to open and rich the twitter....

MOST of the plastic cased speakers have a BUNCH of screws from the back, some in "wells" and others along the edges that have to be removed to allow the front half of the case to separate. When all screws are out, a gentle pry will separate the front. Note SOME of the screws in the wells require a very long Phillips screw driver... usally a number 3 size as well.

I need to figure out how to open up the subwoofer for the Altec Lansing vs2121 model. Thank you

theres no on/off button for the subwoofer. once you plugged in the power cable, turn on the speaker system by turning the VOLUME knob on the right satellite until you hear a click sound.
An LED will light on the front of the right satellite when the power is ON. if you still dont hear any sound from the sub woofer then check to make sure that all cables are connected properly and are making a clear connection.

hope this help

One speaker not working

jjohnmith

First things first:
1) check your speaker for good connector, and all is working is playing fine.
2) check if your warranty covers one SPK. or RMS
other than that ,
Good Luck

Hi

Looking at the manual http://www.alteclansing.com/downloads/EUR/VS2121%20manual.pdf page 3 of the pdf says Connect the lime green 3.5mm stereo cable (hardwired into the right satellite) to the lime green input labeled ?FRONT? on your sound card. So your right speaker should have a cable with a green end that plugs into your standard audio out jack If you have multiple outputs and don't know which you are set up for, then turn the speakers on and up, put a long song on, and plug that green wire into every jack on the PC! If you've got no other issues you'll hear something! Good Luck
