Hello this due to a faulty card reader on the printer and will need repair, but considering the low cost of printes to day it may be best to just purchase a new printer.

1. The print head cartridge keeps locking itself up on the right hand side. 2. Frequent 5100 errors even when the printer is on standby 3. Even when I wipe up the print cartridge, the next print will mess up the bottom of the print cartridge with ink again.
Step for troubleshooting canon pixma MP800
1. Opening the cover and wait for ink carriage to center 2. Pull out power cord 3. Pushed carriage to far left (should slide easily) 4. Used paper towel and wiped purge unit a lot of times (press down to soak paper towel with ink). Repeat until the paper towel is relatively clear. 5. Used diluted napisan (oxygen-based cleaning agent in the ratio of 1:3 with powder:water) and soaked paper towel 6. Repeat step 4 with wet paper towel. Repeat until purge unit is near-white. 7. Pulled and pushed clear plastic wiper (north of purge unit) and wiped it down 8. Slided carriage back to original position 9. Removed Print head cartridge and wiped out excess ink stuck on bottom.

Doesn’t sound like your are
making it into service mode, make sure the inner door is all the way up,
make sure the top is closed, make sure both feeders have paper in them,
make sure to turn off the power but do not unplug it. Start by pressing
the stop/reset button first and then power button.
IF! It does not print the blue >1 have u replaced the cartrage> 2 is it flashing if so get a resetter and reset the cartrage> 3 if not remove all cartrages and remove cartrage head soak in 50% water 50% ammonia over night rinse with clean water shake out excess water "do not ! " rub dry with a towel but pat it dry. If u have a water pick when rinsing out, use it to pressure wash the receiver screens in the head. let head set by a heater vent over night. Might want to speed up drying time by using a hair dryer. Good Luck This has save me many times if printer has not been used and set 4 a long period of time . PS THIS 50/50SOLUTION ALSO WORKES GREAT FOR CLEANING PAINT BRUSHES.
Thanks for checking back my printer problem. Solved the problem--purchased a new printer.My big problem now is repairs on my Mitsubishi WD 52725. I do not think I will buy a new one of those.I will purchase your help package for help with that. Please advise.
hi 6A00 is a problem with the sheet feed unit.it appeared that the print head carriage was stuck move the carriage manually for a few times left to right the problem was resolved. and also check for any torn paper piece in the printer.you can also blow the air in printer for dust and paper piece.
