Re: Nothing happens when I press power on. What to do?
If it's "brand new" then I would return it under warrenty for repair or exchange. If for some reason that's not possible, then you need to dry it out internally. One way to do this is to bury the camera in rice. Remove the battery & put camera in a bag of rice and store in a warm place for several days. If you're lucky it will work again after charging the battery. Of course this will NOT fix the problem of leaking, and you'll never be able to use it underwater. So WARRENTY is the way to go.
a 6ya Expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

These cameras are underwater 35mm cameras and this lens is and extreme wide angle lens to capture underwater scenic’s. This lens is rather expensive and of very high quality. I hope this helps! Did you try calling Canon tech support or returning to retailer if the camera is really not functioning properly this soon after purchase, I'd try returning it once all troubleshooting issues have not resolved the issue.
Remove the Olympus software. Let Windows find them with the Camera/Scanner Wizard. It is likely the laptop has not the memory resources to receive all the photos in one hit so try in batches of 10 or so.
