SOURCE: My ChapinSpray N Go sprayer won't build air

Sounds like a faulty seal to me. Submerge the container in water and pump, bubbles will rise from the seal. Easy to fix, I had a look and you can pick up a seal replacement kit for this model at Amazon.com for under $12.00. You should also find them at any reperitable hardware store. Hope this helps :)

If it don't hold pressure means your diaphragm is out. You will have to get a kit to replace it

When I pump the handle I can not get it to hold pressure it will not hold any pressure at all it. Seems that the inside of the pump will not build up any pressures

like most pumps; air, hydraulic, etc. there is a one-way valve with a ball or flap mechanism. If a small particle gets stuck preventing it from sealing, it'll leak pressure preventing it from building up. an easy way to try to clean this valve is to apply some air pressure to the hose end of the sprayer while operating the handle. your instruction booklet may cover this.

Lid does not seal---very loose

If sprayer doesnt seal against pressure, I suggest check cover gasket A (image 1). Check pump cylinder gasket B (image 2) and additionally, check the procedure if pump dont build pressure. on how to remoce pump cylinder on follow lines.

If pump doesnt build pressure... in most instances, failure of the pumo to build air pressure in the sprayer is due to dry or worm plunger cul leather. To work on cup leather, always remove plunger from pumo cylinder. Do not attempt to oil cup leather through breather hole in **** cap.

First, unthread pumo cap A (image 1). If cap is too tight, and if pumo will build even slight temporary pressure, pressurizing the tnak will make it easier to loosen cap. Once cap is lossened, release tank pressure. Hold pump cylinder by inserting hand through tank filler openning (image 2), and unscrew cap all the way. Pull plunger from cylinder, and remove cylinder from inside the tank.

Place a few drops of clea oil (not heavier than SAE 30) on leather, and massage into leather until it is soft. Replace plunger cup leather if damaged (image 3). to remove plunger leather assembly, use coin rather than screw driver in the slot of the plunger cup retainer. To reassemble, hold pump cylinder in tank openning, with squared edge of flange, at top of cylinder, toward tank wall.

Hope this helps to solve it.

My sprayer is new, but does not keep the pressure, any idea's? It's a 2 gal, pump up type sprayer.

Check under the lid/cover for a rubber gasket. This may have gotten unseated when putting the sprayer top on. It must form a tight seal around the lip of the sprayer top in order to keep the pressure. Alternative: Put water in the sprayer leaving some air on top to build pressure. Put a few drops of dish soap inside and gently stir. Put the cover on, and tilt the sprayer to coat all areas at the top. Start pumping and see where the bubbles come out---there is your leak. If it is near where the sprayer hose enters, and it is a permanent mount, you may have a bad seal. If the sprayer hose unscrews, you may need a new rubber washer inside. If bubbles come out of the wand, or other plastic seams, you may have a crack in the plastic. Depending on the location, you could epoxy over the crack to seal it permanently. Good luck.

I cannot pressurize the sprayer. I have the solution in the sprayer. Handle is screwed on. No spray comes out

When you pump the handle is there resistance? If there is, pressure is building up in the sprayer.
If there is no resistance, the sprayer pump is probably deteriorated and should be replaced.
If there is pressure and when you squeeze the trigger nothing comes out, remove the nozzle and make sure there is nothing plugging it.
Good Luck,
Gary

I have a 3 gal. back sprayer. When you try to presureize the tank to spray, The pump seems to work but there is no pressure. If repairs are necessary, where in the Redding, Ca. area is a repair shop for...

Hi there
There are many possible reasons for your sprayer not pressurizing. If the pump lever is moving freely and does not seem to be building pressure while pumping it is possible that the O-ring at the valve is damaged, the seal in the pressure regulator is leaking, the piston or the collar is worn. Any of these problems will require disassembly of the unit and inspection of each part. If you do feel resistance building as you pump but quickly loose pressure you likely have leaks in the diaphram, it's seal, the pressure cylinder or the tank itself.
If you are comfortable disassembling the unit and inspecting the parts for wear or damage most of the individual replacement parts are fairly easy to replace and readily available online from Solo or at many retail outlets and supply companies. Solo has done a great job with how-to videos and instructions for each procedure on their web site www.solousa.com
If you are not comfortable disassembling and repairing your sprayer yourself you can try contacting a mower/equipment repair shop in the Redding area as is seems the nearest Authorized Solo sprayer repair center is Cloverdale Saw in Cloverdale CA, 707-894-2273

Trying to find how i can build my own trailer mounted sprayer for dust control

No need to re-invent the wheel when building your trailer mounted sprayer. Your local Northern tool Store, or at the address below,

http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_6970_166839

you will find all the parts that you will need to complete your project. I have purchased several different types of sprayers, tanks, pressure pumps and parts from them over the years. They have a helpfull staff and most parts are in stock. Take a look at ready made trailer mounted sprayers there to pattern yours after then design in your special needs.
My first portable sprayer was made from four 55 gallon drums loaded onto the back of my pickup. For the pump I used a modified 2" trash/water pump reduced to 1' pipe then seven nozzles. Worked great however 220 gallons of water did not last very long. Problems began with the weight of water in large quantity. I decided I needed about 1000 gallons and found that I needed to deal with about 7500 lbs of weight. Oh well, enough already, good luck with your project and email if you have questions.
