SOURCE: install my Kenwood KAC-9102D in my 2006 Acura RSX Type S

You will probably need to use a Line Output Converter (LOC). They're available at virtually any shop that sells car audio.

Many times, the outputs of the OEM amplifier will have significant DC voltage on them. This could damage the input circuits on the kenwood amplifier.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

My recommendation is to get a line level converter. Go to a car audio shop or even best buy and specifically ask for a line level converter. It will have speaker wires in and RCAs out. Connect the speaker wires to the sub woofer speaker wires and then you will have the RCAs to run to your amp. I hope this helped.

SOURCE: Amp speaker level input pins

You could open the amp to see if the wires are labeled at the circuit board end. Other than that you would need a wire diagram or someone to give you their harness that they are not using. Should be a lot of them kicking around since most people use RCA's.

SOURCE: wiring options for amp

Te dual inputsm are tied together on the output side thus having a "MONO" amp. Most class D anps are stable down to 1 ohm (check your manuel) therefore, 2 2ohm subs are a 1 ohm load. 2 DVC (dual voice coil) 4 Ohm on each voice coil will give each sub a 2 ohm load so 2 dual4 ohm V's will give you a 1 ohm load as well. Parrallel all conections.

What subs do you have? Is this amp 1 ohm ono stable?

Page 7 of the manual gives you all the different configurations of this amp, and it's MAX power. FYI; Kenwood rates their amps at MAX power, not clean. Hope this helps.

My Kenwood KAC-929 gets power but DOES NOT put any sound out. Whats My Possible problem(s).

Hello Spicer_kyle6,

Possible problems: 1) No output from the head unit. Try a different set of preamp outs. 2) No input to the amp. Check the RCA's and make sure that they are good and coming from a functioning preamp or subwoofer output on the head unit. 3) Input gain turned off or down too low. 4) Speaker wiring shorted, grounded, or open. Check all wires. 5) Speakers defective. Connect to a known good output to test. 6) The amp itself could be defective and still show a power-on indication.

Hope this helps.

From the Input of amp, just connect cheap speaker with wires to input of amp.

If you have sound from speaker, most likely the amp is bad or loose connection.
