There should be an image size setting in the shooting menu. If you need more specific instructions then you'll need to specify the model of your Canon Powershot camera.

Can I email photos from trio tablet

Yes, you should be able to do so presuming that you are on a wireless network or cellular network and the pictures are of a size that is acceptable to the email service that you are using. Be aware that many free email services (such as Yahoo or Hotmail) limit the size of attachments, so if you get a message back saying that the email could not be sent due to the size of your pictures, you may need to use something else (such as GMail) or resize your pictures using a lower resolution so as to cut down on transmission size.

How can you turn off the date stamp on sony cybershot DSC-w570

I had a problem "turning it on"!
It is a complex process to turn on which Canon did in a very Japanese way, - meaning never straight forward.

note time stamp meant for PostCard size pictures ( lower resolution and more square in format). hit function keys as instructed above to get to the "size" of picture. change from Post Card to Large, Medium or any other size. Should solve this.

Changing file/photo size

Image size: Press the FUNC/SET button. Use cursor-up/down to select the current image size at the lower-left corner. Use cursor-right/left to select the desired size and press FUNC/SET.

File size (compression): Same as above, except choose the item just above the image size.

Full instructions are in the "Changing the Recording Pixels/Compression (Still images)" section of the manual (page 57 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at

Settings for a630 (resolution or pixels)

You can download the manuals here. To get the smallest size image files for emailing, set the compression to Normal, and the image size to Small (see pages 27 through 29 of the Advanced Manual).

Large pictures on computer screen

I wouldn't recommend it. You'll never know when you want to order prints and lowering the size settings will give poor quality. I would go with downloading picasa http://picasa.google.com/ as it as a nice option to re-size big pictures for emails (keeping the originals intact).

How do I make an image file smaller so I can send it by e-mail?

To make an image file smaller for e-mail transmission, change the image file size in "Exif Viewer" or "FinePixViewer". Changing the size of an image file 1. Start up the Viewer and select the folder containing the image you wish to send. 2. Double-click the thumbnail for the image file you want to resize to open the image in its own full-size window. 3. Select "Image size" in the "Image" menu. 4. Set "%" as the "Unit" used for file size display. Then enter a value lower than 100 as the "Width" or "Height" and click the [OK] button. 5. Select "Save as" in the "File" menu to save the image. (You can also reduce the image file size by lowering the quality in "Save as type".)
