Freezer gets to cold

If your thermostat cannot control your motor automatically for on and off then you should change it as it is the only unit that can cause this problem.

Freezer gets cold but dont freeze the food

its not cold enough, it may be low on freon, if its a chest freezer it may not be economicle to repair it. or the thermostate may be set to high... to tell the difference, if the unit cycles the compressor on and off at least every few hours (or more) then its the thermostate, if the unit runs continualy then its freon

Where is the thermostate(sensor) located that controls the compressor - or is it the same as the sensor located by the door which show the temp on the outside indicator Thanks

The thermostat sensor is located in the top rear of the interior of the unit, if you locate the dial to change temps on the inside of the unit, the sensor is attached to it, you may have to pull your fridge apart to get to it, but it can be done.

Thermostate need replacing

Good day,
I see you're not from the states. You'll have to google to find the thermostat. Isn't there an appliance parts house in your area?
Two, generally replacing a tstat is a nuts and bolts proceedure.
Once you have it in hand, it will be far easier to understand.

Fridge freezer is not workink, light is on freezer but no sound, freezer is in a cold room is it possible the room is to cold and problem with thermostate?

It could be a compressor problem, or the cold control. If your room is above freezing, the freezer should still run.
