SOURCE: my dryer isn't drying , it runs and runs and it's

It is possible the heating element is out of your dryer Check with Whirlpool or another service dealer to see if they have your model. sometimes it is cheaper to buy a new dryer if you have a off brand or lower cost dryer

Check the vents and filters first of all. If they are blocked at any point the air flow will be restricted and prevent drying.
The next thing would be to see if the heating element is working, whether it is gas or electric.

The heating elements could be bad and need replacing. In addition, if the dryer is not properly vented, clothes will take much longer to dry.
You should first REPLACE your exhaust hose if it has been on your dryer for more than a year. Not clean it out but REPLACE it. This not only prevents fires but also keeps your dryer at optimal performance.
Also, every 3-4 years, unplug the dryer and remove the back of it (it's just a metal panel, don't be afraid) and clean all the lint out of there. If that doesn't work, your moisture sensor may be slowly dying. If that is the case, you just have to run some loads twice. Using a pair of dryer balls helps dry the clothes faster so I recommend those too. Eventually, you may wish to consider replacing the dryer.

SOURCE: Dryer gets warm but not

take vent hose off run dryer, if it dryers like it should then vent hose is restricted. You should feel hot air with the hose off, if not then you will need to clean the dryer of lint that is trapped inside the dryer. This website will assist you in the dissemblance of your dryer, Hope it helped Tim:

How do I get the hot water work for my Fisher & Paykel Eco Smart washer?

How hot is the water temp in the house that you are in? If the inlet hose to the washer is not hot, then it is not the washing machine.

Dryer not getting hot

If your dryer is not getting hot then it is probably your heating element inside the dryer that has gone bad. They are not hard to replace if you are mechanically inclined. If not, it will need to be serviced by someone who knows how to replace it.

My fisher paykel washer smells like something is getting too hot and melting plastic when it starts the rinse cycle then it starts beeping and shuts off. I have had this machine about 2 years and had to...

Check the drain pump after it has been draining for a while. Drain the water out, turn power off at wall. Tip the machine back against the wall. Look under the front right hand corner and locate the drain pump. Touch the metal part & see if it is very hot. Should be just luke warm. Very hot means it has to be replaced with a new pump now before it burns out and damages the control board.

Dryer not drying clothes, have had a small load in for over 2 hours still wet....

Hello s cissy. If the clothes are hot but not getting dry you probably have lots of lint accummulated in the vent pipe which is stopping the wet air from escaping to the out-of-doors. To solve this pull out the dryer, unplug it and then disassemble the vent pipe from the lower back of the machine. Clean out the inside of the pipe and the interior of the machine where the pipe connects.

If the clothes never get warm to hot, then you most likely will have to replace the heating element. Get back if that is the case and we can talk you through that repair. Joe

Thanks for choosing Fixya!

Heating element will not shut off after drying. Top of machine is warm/hot all the time.

Pull the plug out of the outlet , wait 30 minutes and replug it. This may fix it. If it doesn't it sounds like the relay that operates the heater is faulty. Go to http://fisherpaykelparts.net/techhelp/fisher-paykel-top-load-dryers-us-models/ This forum will show you where the relay is located, check the posts regarding heaters, it should help.

Dryer gets hot when not running

Getting hot when not started is a great concern.
I have a few ideas why, but this is a fire hazard and I would suggest unplugging and either getting help or replacing.
That said, there here are a few suggestions.
1) if the element is shorted to ground, it will get power to one side of the element and heat though ground. This, again, is serious.
2) if it heats forever and doesn't get warm enough to dry, this is another indication of an element that is not working up to power. Not getting 230 across the entire element and not getting hot enough to dry.
3) Many times when a dryer runs too long, the air flow if blocked by the vent being plugged or some plug withing the dryer itself.

Again, I am very concerned about this problem and suggest you not use it until it is repaired. If you want to check the element, it is fairly easy, but unit will need disassembled.

Temp lights changing before full wash

your hot water supply might not be getting to the machine.
check the filters in the hot water supply hose.
If the waters not hot enough the hot water light will flash,or you can go into Options adjustment,in your user manual, then adjust you water temperature, its is easy.
