Microsoft Silverlight crashing Netflix vids using Google Chrome?

Microsoft Silverlight keeps crashing Netflix vids using Google Chrome despite deleting file in Play Ready folder, and even uninstalling and re-installing Silverlight itself. I installed the latest version of Silverlight, all to no avail. I would appreciate any further help. Thank you all!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: Microsoft Office Trial Version and Upgrade

You should not have any problem installing it over the already installed version. According to the Microsoft website, any version of Office 2007 is eligible for the upgrade. You should not uninstall the trial version since the upgrade disk you purchased will look for an installed Office product that it can upgrade. If the upgrade requires an uninstall, it will probably do it itself. I would definitely go through the installation.

SOURCE: I just upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate on my

I have a dell studio 1737 upgraded to windows7. To get the fingerprint to work I inserted the digital persona disk went to E:\ opened the file found the 64-bit install clicked on that it installed 3.01. After my computer rebooted And, I seen that it installed I clicked on update and downloaded 4.01 And, went through the whole install process again. Works as good as the day I bought it. The only problem that I can find is Firefox 5.3.3 or 6 doesn't have support for the product. It installed to add-ons but, says it's not compatible with version 3.5.5.

I am getting a error message that my broswer is not compatible for netflix. Everything has been fine for months. I am told it is my Netflix player

Most earlier Windows-based computers (up to Windows 8) use Microsoft Silverlight as the default Netflix player. Sometimes, Silverlight becomes corrupted.
I was able to fix this problem on one of my computers by DELETING Silverlight using the Control Panel window, clearing Internet cache from my browser, then returning to Netflix and selecting a title to stream. The first time you do this, it Netflix will automatically push the re-installation of Silverlight. This should f ix your problem.

Netflix only shows on screen in tiny square.

Make sure Microsoft Silverlight is up to date. It wouldn't hurt to reinstal silverlight anyway.

Netflix displays 'plug-in problem' when I try to watch anything

Try re downloading the silverlight driver. I had a similiar issue a few weeks ago, I delayed my update to watch something, the browser crashed, and I got the a similiar error. I tried using chrome, safari, firefox. Then I just updated the silverlight plug in, rebooted just to make sure, then worked fine.

The attached link should scan and give you a link to download.

If this doesn't work, please let me know.

Microsoft Silverlight crashes when I try to watch a movie from Netflix.com

You may try and unintstall Silverlight and then re-install it again. I now have had this issue too and that sometimes but not always did the trick for them. I use Google Chrome now myself and never have this issue, thankfully.

Re-install Microsoft silverlight, if that does't work then report the problem to Netflix and use the zoom function on your browser to make the video larger.

I can't get netflix to work. error message N8161

2/24/2013 Netflix Error Code N8161, Protection Error Problem became a recent problem on 3 of my five XP computers, one Home Edition, the balance are XP Pro. After trying uninstalling and re-installing Silverlight, all the adobe products and Media Player I finally resolved the problem by uninstalling the current Silverlight 5, restarting the PC and then and installing old version Silverlight 4. I had to search hard to find a site that both still offered it and that I trusted. Just don't let Microsoft Updates or Netflix demand to install Silver light temp you to update. Chrome insists on the Silverlight plug in update - DON'T DO IT. Firefox and IE8 seem OK, at least for now.

Cannot install silverlight in google

Download the Silverlight installer from Microsoft here:
http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight

When the download is complete, click the installer in the downloads bar at the bottom of Chrome.
Follow the on-screen instructions to install Silverlight.

Windows User Account Control might appear and ask you for permission to install. If you don't have administration privileges on the computer, please contact your system administrator to finish installation.

Select "Enable Microsoft Update" checkbox to make sure the plug-in stays updated.

If problem still occurs then use system utility tool Intel Software Reginout to fix this problem.
After scanning windows with Reginout re-install Silverlight and problem will be fixed.
