Why is my sylvania lc260ss1 flatscreen in standby.

Try unplugging it from power for a while, 10-15 minutes, then plug it back in and try it again. If it still doesnt work then chances are the power supply inside needs repair. The most common problem with LCD tv's is failing capacitors in the power supply, they appear to have power and the standby light comes on but they just refuse to turn on.

My 32 inch sylvania tv will not turn on it takes me 15 to 20 times to turn it on

Try connecting the TV to a different power outlet. If problem persists, there is defect inside the TV and should be handled only by a qualified service technician.

check the main power switch of the TV, then also check the control buttons on the front panel of the TV maybe one of the button s on the front panel is press (normally close state), or maybe the buttons is defective (maybe the menu button)

Check the outlet to be sure you have power to it. Then check both ends of the tv power cord to insure that they are actually plugged in. good luck.

Sylvania SRT2232S Powers On, No Picture, High Frequency squeal

Hello there. I'm sorry to say that it sounds as if the element that actually energizes your screen is bad. It is most likely overheating. or quite poosible the power converter lost a resistor or 2.

I recommend you do not fix It. LCD TVs are inexpensive today and have much better performance.

Tv would not come on.

NOTE: TV's can kill months after they have been unplugged. Touching the wrong part can give you tens of thousands of volts. This could happen even whilst you are removing the cover. Most likely is that you have had a power surge and blown an internal fuse. Unless you are competent with TV repairs, take it to a shop. If it is this it will be cheap.
