If you have replaced it with a brand new battery, I'd check to see if there are any plastic coverings on the contacts of the battery, if there isn't try letting your battery charge up to full before trying to use it.

Your battery after sitting for six years may give you the impression that it's completely charged, but may go dead as soon as you place it in the camara.if the charge cord can be plugged into the camara, try that, if not get an ohm meter (usually under $5 @harbor freight) , charge your battery and test it.let it sit overnight of the charger and retest it.it should have the same voltage as indicated on the battery or a little higher. If battery has no voltage overnight replace it.

Try link: http://blog.parts-people.com/2014/06/27/dell-inspiron-m501r-m5010-beep-codes-diagnostic-indicators-2/ How to identify beep codes: When a laptop or computer first powers on, it goes through an initial set of diagnostic tests to make sure vital components are preforming correctly. These tests are called POST or Power On Self Test. When a test fails, the user is notified via POST codes, Light codes, or Beep codes. For diagnosing Beep codes you need to:
  • Power on the laptop or restart it if it is already on.
  • Listen to the number of consecutive beeps when the computer begins to boot. Restarting the laptop may be necessary and should not harm the laptop at this time.

Internal battery error 601 is displayed what is solution

1. This error is about the primary (main) battery, not the small CMOS one..
2. You may remove the primary battery from the laptop and use the laptop as a desktop using only a power cord. The battery doesn't have to be installed in the laptop and the error shouldn't be coming back then..
I would upgrade the BIOS first, it could be a bug and a newer BIOS might fix it..

Do yourself a favor , don't play the swap parts game ! Take it to a quailfied repair shop . Every body thinks they can fix car's .They read a little an assume that's the problem . There are specific test for checking fuel pressure an testing the fuel pump electrical circuit . If you want to fix cars go to school . You can't just replace PCM'S - powertrain control modules , they need to be programmed . This requires a factory scan tool or a J-2534 pass through device . Fluke 1651portable multifunction tester is displays Err 1

Error 1 is an indication that the self test has failed. This will require repair at an authorized Fluke service center. There is an internal problem with the meter. The only thing that you can try is to replace the internal battery. Should the battery be defective, the internal testing can be effected. I have only seen this occur once, but it is worth the attempt. Should a new battery not fix the problem, return the meter to Fluke for repair.

Moultrie I40 getting error code 480 and wont go into auto mode

ERROR CODE 000480 ?
If this is correct,it relates to: Camera Mod test failed;(4); and under Memory Test, 8= Comms Error.New batteries(good ones) may fix it...
It' not communicating with memory card..ck it's inserted good..press down until it stays down(press again and it will pop up.
Follow instructions on deleting internal memory before installing SDcard.
Also, make sure cam supports kind of card you're using..at 4gb and larger, they become confusing;i.e., 4/8/16mb...older cams won't support some of these. Also there are HC(high capacity); HD(high definition)don't work in these cams..
I posted this for a fix a few days ago, and it turned out to be brand new bad batteries.

Error 174

This is what the error might be:
174(Configuration error:)
1. Check device configuration.
2. Hard disk drive assembly.
3. System board.
When you power it up, press F1 or alt(prn scr) and hold it until you see the BIOS screen. It should then show you the configuration information. Error devices usually have a white arrow beside them. If you have tested the system and replaced the hard drive - quite likely the problem is that the drive is simply not configured properly, try a different setting for the HD. Also when a CMOS battery gets weak, occasionally errors will post, try changing the CMOS battery, it is usually in the memory area and looks like a large watch battery. After replacing it you will have to redo the bios settings again. Occasionally also simply changing a setting and saving it and then changing it back and saving again will eliminate errors - this forces the bios to rewrite it's data and correct any corrupt entries.I don't recall exactly but there may also be an option in that type of bios to clear the error logs. Do that also if it has that setting.

1) This is a typical problem when the CMOS battery is very weak or dead, it will continually display the date and time and reboot with the same errors until you change the CMOS battery. On this model it is behind the door that houses the memory chip, above the battery, if you have the laptop turned over and battery closest to you. <--best bet, its a dead CMOS battery.

2) You can get to the BIOS to run tests, one of 2 ways, either hit the ESC key and other keys to get a 301 error or hold the F1 key and boot, you should get into BIOS. (You probably won't be able to do this until you replace the CMOS battery.) From there you can run diagnostic tests on various components.

3) Lastly, you can update the BIOS. From inside the EASY-SETUP bios you should be able to copy the BIOS part number, date, etc. Look for the BIOS update based upon model # either thru a search on the web or directly on the IBM website (a search on google of "bios update thinkpad 380ed" will bring up a link for the IBM page.) If you choose to do a BIOS update, read the directions carefully and remember not to power off the machine while the update is happening. If you've never updated a BIOS before, get someone who has to walk you thru it before attempting it by yourself.

GOOD LUCK :)
