Toshiba satellite a135 s2386 will not boot
I have a toshiba a135 s2386 will not boot has green power light i hear the fan but nothing happens, just will not work. could it be the motherboard?

- My A135 S2386will basically boot when it wants to. No rhyme or reason. To replace the original motherboard which was totally dead,I installed another motherboard that I got on E-Bay which was reported to have video problems. It powered up for me and had video, but would freeze up often. If it was put in standby mode briefly and then out of standby, the unit would work. BTW, the fan appears to be working fine. The symptoms have seemed to get progressively worse. I have seen some motherboard repair facilities that discuss voltage reg., capacitor, ball grid array issues, etc. that cause this problem. It seems like so many if not all of the A135's have or will have this problem. I am an electronic technician (CCTV/CATV)by trade and would REALLY REALLY like to have someone tell me exactly what components fail on this motherboard and how I can purchase them and get this machine working again.Thanks In Advance,

have you pulled out the battery as well or hold down the power button for 10 seconds, then try it again. that did it for me just a thought toshiba told me too pull out the battery once it was going then put it back.... sorry am not an expert

i have a same problem on my toshiba A135. please turn on your computer if you see the hardrive light blinking. its located to your left side.you have 5 after the battery.the fourth one is your hardrive i beleave.if you see its blinking. all you need to do is run your recovery disc and it will boot up to normal. i dont know what happend but it works for me. i hope work for for you too good luck...
