Toshiba satellite a135 s2386 will not boot

-   My A135 S2386will basically boot when it wants to. No rhyme or reason. To replace the original motherboard which was totally dead,I installed another motherboard that I got on E-Bay which was reported to have video problems. It powered up for me and had video, but would freeze up often. If it was put in standby mode briefly and then out of standby, the unit would work. BTW, the fan appears to be working fine. The symptoms have seemed to get progressively worse. I have seen some motherboard repair facilities that discuss voltage reg., capacitor, ball grid array issues, etc. that cause this problem. It seems like so many if not all of the A135's have or will have this problem. I am an electronic technician (CCTV/CATV)by trade and would REALLY REALLY like to have someone tell me exactly what components fail on this motherboard and how I can purchase them and get this machine working again.
